You're very kind to those other anglers, John ... nice of you to share your tackle. I'd love to cast an olive over white deceiver (with short trace of single strand wire) to those fish that were following your fish almost to the sand. I've caught tons of albies on fly down in NC, but there is nothing like a robust bluefish. My favorite.

They are quite delicious. Most people who do t eat then say they don’t because that’s what they think they are supposed to say. Other than the bones they are quite delicious

Ok, tackle question. You're throwing a white bucktail. Do white bucktails imitate bunker? Why not a swimming SP minnow or something in the grey, blue, green color? I love your videos and I'm starting to learn the power of bucktails. TBH, I'm tired of buying expensive plugs and losing them to bad knots or bad casting technique (working on that). Why the white? is white just an all around awesome color?

I think the bucktail looks like a lot of things, but a nice bulky one does have a bunker profile. For that Northeast fishery, white never seems to be a bad color.

By the time these guys start heading back from the Portsmouth NH/ Kittery ME area it is common to catch dozens of 15-17 lb blues every day. They are a great game fish and put up quite a fight. Just be sure to use a steel leader-they will bite right through mono-and watch the fingers when removing a hook or plug. The teeth are razor sharp!
