I think this, the sink death, and poor Eddie in the sewers were 3 of the most brutal deaths that really stood out from the rest

The most brutal of the deaths is Paul because you really see his body being disgusted in gruesome detail. Hobbs is brutal also, so is George (sink) and Eddie. What makes Eddie gruesome/brutal is that Eddie escaped from the Blob and we also the condition he's in but the blob recaptures Eddie and finishes disgusting him.
