The Black Dahlia Murder - Verminous (LYRIC VIDEO)

Музыка

The Black Dahlia Murder - "Verminous" Lyric Video. Order: www.metalblade.com/tbdm
New album 'Verminous' is out April 17th!
'Verminous' is The Black Dahlia Murder's most dynamic, rousing and emotional release to date, and it achieves this without compromising one iota of heaviness. "I think this is the biggest evolutionary leap we've ever taken from one album to the next. We stoked the creative fires with 2017's 'Nightbringers' and it's gone much further now in 'Verminous'," states vocalist Trevor Strnad. "It's a very colorful, moody, and charismatic album that experiments with new sounds and ideas without losing the cutthroat Black Dahlia edge. There is a lot of minutiae to digest. Plenty of delicious little Easter eggs woven into the fabric of each song. Each one is a living, breathing entity that will stand on its own as some of the best music this band has ever created." Directed & edited by Vince Edwards.

I lost my Dad to suicide in 2015, my closest cousin to suicide in 2016. It is a pit, and every day I try to climb out of that pain. Nothing makes sense. I have questions but no answers. I do not wish this on anyone. RIP Trevor. So sorry to all those you're leaving behind. And if anyone is reading this, and you're thinking about suicide, I can tell you, even if you don't think anyone does.. people love you and will miss you. It is never too late, and never something to be ashamed of, to seek help!

Trevor was really aware of his problems. saying it was dangerous for him to be alone with his thoughts during the pandemic. Seeking for therapy with ketamine (the latest breakout in treating depression). Also I can't stop thinking about his song receipt where he mentions hurting everyone you love as you commit suicide. I mean, he did know the impact it would have but suicide for some is a temptation the same as watching p**n or anything else that is tempting to you. there's a chance that they just succumb to the temptation. I wish Trevor was still there and never felt so much for a person I do not know personally it is so sad. Rest in peace Trevor we love you.

Venoms and poisons are the same thing the difference in terminology comes from the route of administration/ method of delivery. If you consume a toxin by way of skin absorption, ingestion, or inhalation it's poison. If a toxin is directly injected it's venom (ie snake bite.) Again it's vermin not venom so idk why i'm even commenting lol

Nocturnal came out when I was like 16. Me and my best friend used to jam that album every day on our way to vocational school, smokin Weed and eating those lil chicken breakfast sandwiches Wendy’s used to serve. I just heard the news a few hours ago and I gotta say trevor’s death has hurt me harder than any other musician’s death in recent memory. This band was a crucial part of my young adulthood and journey into metal. I dunno what else to do other than drink and jam their discography until I pass out. The world is a dark place, and it feels like it only gets worse over time.

Man, as much as I love the classic formula, TBDM is so fucking good when they slow down and actually let the drums and chords stick around and resonate a little longer. It still sounds like dahlia and I think this will be the winning “formula” to remain fresh but also true in the future albums. Please give us a TBDM album completely drenched in a funeral doom spirit with 70% slow to mid tempo stuff and 30% classic blast beat riddled, technical death metal. More King Diamond inspired riffing and more closed hihat grooves! 10 years ago, I would have said “these things aren’t the makings of a TBDM album” but I’ve heard Wereworm’s Feast and it fucking works.

I know Trevor personally dislikes it, but I really, really like the more contemporary and realistic lyrical themes of Miasma. For me, no gore is scarier than something like "Dave Goes to Hollywood". The bitterness and misanthropy on that record is really really good and showcases his talent for writing smart lyrics alongside stuff like "Receipt", "Asylum" and "Abysmal".

I feel you, the solo was weak in this one and the lyrical content is honestly kind of lame. Looking back at nocturnal and ritual and deflorate, I can see what you mean. ^ "This is extremely dark and beautiful. That solo oozes both." Try listening to the solo in Carbonized in Cruciform, it takes you on a journey... it's entrancing. This absolutely pales in comparison on both fronts. " It's why I respected linkin park even without liking their music. All their fans did was bitch at them to go back to their angsty nu metal days. " I used to listen to Linkin Park when I was a kid, back around the late 90's and you are right... the fans pestered them non stop but this isn't because they were taking a direction as an artist. They have always followed specific trends. Electronic music was becoming popular when the days of MTV were beginning to fall. The 90's was a pretty edgy decade so when that fell out of style the record label advised them change... which leads me to my real point here: Record labels are about demographics, I'm sure they as artists want to have complete control of freedom but they don't. The record label also holds creative control. Look at Metallica as a prime example. St anger was a complete load, (so was load coincidentally). I get what you mean about respecting integrity but when you enter the industry it becomes a career as well. Sometimes change works and sometimes it doesn't. In Linkin Parks case it did because they found a new audience. In the case of a band like Metallica they never really recovered and became a meme because they changed.

See how weird you sound? Lol in what way should they grow? They have done everything they could to be dynamic over the years and convey different emotions through the stories in the songs This is only one song we have nothing else to gauge their growth yet and maybe they are tired of the slow sad stuff and want to get back to stomping ass. Just be glad there's more to come and hope they last to make many more.
