Really timely as I just bought a black blazer in the H&M sale! Was wondering how to style it. I have noticed sizing up by 1 or 2 sizes makes a huge difference as well. Really great transistional inspo!

I just love your style.

I wore the 80s-90s looks the first time around during my career, and like it again! Now that I’m stylish 60, I was thinking about how much criticism we got for wearing sneakers during our commutes (I had a long walk at each end, plus bus or ferry, with transfers)! I had really nice, trim, leather light and dark pairs to blend in better with my corporate outfits. Our dress code was very formal and conservative, we couldn’t wear sleeveless tops, or open toe-or-heel shoes. I was the first to wear an over-the-knee skirt, and within days all the other women were wearing theirs, too.

Loved them all, inspo!

Oh, I so needed this. I have couple black blazers in my closet and, although I love them, they just don’t seem to get enough wear. I think it’s because I tend to only wear them for dressier occasions. So this is a good reminder to throw a black blazer on with jeans and sneakers. Would love to see you do a similar video with other classic pieces... maybe a crisp white shirt?

Emma I love love your videos! I love your style and use it as inspiration however I am very short, 5 ft and blazers and oversied coats look ridiclous on me. Do you have any suggestions?

Maybe try a more tailored style or if you have a blazer you love take it to a tailor to adjust the length of the sleeves etc so that it fits correctly but is still oversized ❤️
