No pretense here and little irony... just a very professional, but profound psychedelic aural journey. Alex Maas' voice is at once effortless in agony, melting into intonations of dark monotone. Of course he's channeling Morrison but then evolved from decades of underground expression. I really love this band because of the shadowed places I can travel to within the confines of headphones.
In 100 years people will still be listening to the Black Angels.
