I'm glad to see it came clean in the end. Seems like you cause more work for yourself by not cleaning the area surrounding the rug as you go and instead of pushing the water straight up the rug from the shortest side to the shortest side so it's pushed off, you do a sweeping motion only doing half the rug at a time going from one long side to the other longest side causing the dirty water to be pushed right back onto the half you just cleaned. Double the work & more water used, but in the end, it still came clean.

Congratulations to the owner of this rug. I don't know how they managed to soak in so much dirt! Did they use the rug as a bed for cattle in a cow pen?

We really dont know, Peter. But surely it was used outdoors. As a doormatt in a construction site or in a garage or shop perhaps (most of the dirtiest rugs we get are kept outdoors)

A lot of people have white carpets, and most take good care of them. However, there are cases that the carpet looks just like in our video.

Why is it so dirty?In Japan, carpets rarely get so dirty.

I think it was used outside, usually such dirty rugs are used in shops, as entrance matts in construction sites etc.
