The Birth of Astro Phoenix Arellano
So sorry about the delay guys… been meaning to post this but… mothering of 4 happened 😂
Here’s Astro’s birthing video :) things started really slow and then shortly after my IE at 4pm, things happened REEEALLY fast 😅 wish we were able to catch everything but heres what Drew managed to get :)
My first natural birth out of my 4 deliveries! ❤️ this birth is extra special because it will always remind me of how God took me thru til the end even when I had given up 🙏🏼
Backstory:
I’ve always wanted to experience a natural birth but the pain would get overwhelming and I’d give up and ask for the drugs. For this particular delivery, I was praying for His strength and courage every single morning hoping I’d finally get to experience it since we feel this will be our last pregnancy, hence also my last chance to experience this 😆 I’ve been doing a lot of spiritual growth in the past year and felt that this time I actually had what it would take for me to succeed… FAITH :) Faith in not my own strength and ability, but faith that God would get me thru.
This labor was sooo different. First time my water leaked, first time to test + in my GBS swab, first time to go to the hospital without any contractions… things definitely weren’t going as I had expected or hoped but i guess that’s what labor is… unpredictable! Even after 3 deliveries! 😂
At around 4:15pm, after my 4pm IE, I felt discouraged with the progress and felt like the pain was already starting to take me to another dimension. And because things were happening at a slower pace, I was afraid of how much longer I would have to bear the pain so I asked them to call my anaesthesiologist (who was on standby at home since the plan was to go natural). It was during this time God just took over! At that point on, things went into hyper drive! From urgently asking them to call my OB back into the room and jumping onto the bed at 4:33pm, it was 6mins of delirium and then at 4:39pm Astro was out!!! 😅🙏🏼 The drugs didn't make it! 😂😅 my dream unmedicated* birthing experience had just happened! God made it happen 🙏🏼
It was such an amazing moment! And from what I imagined to be a traumatic experience, I understand now why mothers still to choose to do it again! 😆

God is truly faithful to perform 🙏🏼☝🏼
*unmedicated only in the sense that i didn't have the epidural. Doctors still needed to administer Oxytocin to bring on the contractions.

Just finished experiencing the same last Aug.6. No epidural, it was so painful. But I did it. It made me love my mother so much more. The pain woman had to endure to bring life into this world.

I feel you Ms. Iya. I just had a positive pregnancy test. And this is my 6th pregnancy/child. Iba ang saya pag madaming kids sa bahay. Ganyan din ako ka-high at kahappy after manganak. I feel so nostalgic watching your video and I was smiling the whole time I'm watching it. Ramdam ko ang love at happiness ng isang ina pagkatapos manganak at yung feeling na success! That is the advantage of Normal Birth it will only take atleast 2-3days after that you feel like nothing happend 😅 that is why i am super proud of all the CS moms imagine the pain they feel after giving birth and the struggle of healing thier wound

CS pa din ako (scheduled). Walang labor... tulog lang ako. May pain after surgery pero manageable. 1 week rest gumagala na ulit ako. Few days difference lang naman compared to normal. I thought matagal ang recovery but in my case, it's not that bad. Mas maiistress ako sa napakasakit na labor.

Normal delivery ako..pero I also salute moms na need mag-CS..lalo na yung at risk si baby o sila both kaya dapat mag-perform ng CS..Saludo sa ating lahat na nanay siyempre..kasi nagbuntis tayo..naghirap..nagsakripisyo..nasa hukay ang isang paa natin..pero awa ng Diyos..naitatawid nating ang buhay ng anak natin..

naexperience ko to pareho,cs with labor sa first baby ko..tas vbac on my second baby,,i gave birth 3 weeks ago,,.masasabi ko pareho mahirap kya salute sa lahat ng momy ma cs o normal delivery...mgkaiba lang sa healing process kapg cs matagal gumaling ung sugat,,while sa normal delivery madali ka makarecover...😍

Every woman gives birth differently, hindi tayo pare parehas ng katawan, so either Normal or CS Delivery it offers the same pain and healing process. No one should look down on the other, salute to every mom! ❤️
