Puckett, this video made me teary! Yes, I'm a girl. I've loved the idea of cbg's and previously watched your videos but today was different. I felt a stirring in my spirit. I think the Lord has a future that involves the glorious sound and frame of those sweet guitars. Maybe a jigsaw piece of the puzzle of His plan for me. Thank you for sharing this.

When people start using drills as saws and home depot rulers as fret boards, I know I'm in the right place.
Hey, that stick was free ranging in the universe! No better destiny than to wind up in that phenomenal-sounding guitar! Appreciate the build insights and tips! !!!

That is wonderful, I never knew cigar boxes could make such good sound, I live in spain and we have some serious cigars over here so Im off to the cigar shop and ask for some boxes and have a go making one, I cant play, I can cut wood perfectly as I am a carpenter but my daughter plays a spanish guitar and electric so will be able to tune it and play it for me. I just love the sound it makes. Thanks for the video. Serious music.

thanks for taking all the intimidation out of it! I haven't finished the Master Series yet, but so far my favorite part was watching all the different tools you could use to make the neck! very funny, you drove the point home it doesn't matter what you use to get there as long as you get there

Hey, Del. It would be wild to build one 'upside down' for traveling. Put the tuners in the body and the string catch at the top of the neck.
Nice build. Really enjoyed watching. TIGHT TIGHT TIGHT.
Awesome video. Awesome CBG. And of course, Awesome Dell Puckett 👍🏻😁. 🇺🇸😎

Loved the guitar. I was a little disappointed that there was a lot of things left out in the making.
I loved the video! Learn a lot from your beautiful work. earned a lot regarding the different tools out there. I appreciate your work and music.
Just Excellent. Good work. Sometime would you show details on how you would wire the volume and tone knob. I would appreciate it.
Well done 👍
Del, you do a wonderful rendering of Johan Sebastian Bach at times! ...😀..😀...! I often notice it in your fingering! (A Hammond B3 drawbar Organist)....😉...😉...!
Really sweet!
Make some cauls to use instead of the ruler. Wrap then with shipping tape and glue won't stick to them. You could even use the yardsticks but the shipping tape is key.
Always like good build videos.
Love the builds, plus I ge tto learn so much. Also hope to play what. I built more often too lol, cheers
Excellent video as always. You are the best as far as I am concerned about helping others perfect the technique of building CBG instruments. The first thing I learned a few years ago from you was how to build that little bridge with the fret wire installed in the top of a piece of wood. I still think those things are one of the best bridges a person can use on one of these instruments and keep them looking like some to the originals. What is the best size piezo that you recommend for a build like this?

Great stuff, Del. After binge watching your channel over the past couple of days I have a question. Is there significance to the reason why in some builds you leave the 2 or so inches sticking out of the end of the CB and on others you don't? And thanks for putting up some great content!

If anything it was to short! Haha. I wouldn't mind seeing saddle install and stringing it/setting the bridge.
Have you considered making a cigarbox BASS guitar?
@RetroPlus

That would be cool, but it would have to be made very strong because I believe bass guitar strings exert a lot of tension on the neck.

By the looks of it, You need a large hotgun, those small craft store/dollar store one, well the glue doesn't stay hot long enough to be able to do much with them, I've used the large ones years ago and the glue gets a lot hotter to melt the larger bore diameter.
Awesome

So what can a person expect to pay for boxes say at Pauls?
You need to consider. Gulf Shores Orange and Daphne Blue :)
Do these use the lighter treble strings because of less tension? Do they, or could they, have low E A D strings on one guitar, and the lighter G B E on another? Im thinking one guy could play rhythm and the other leads. All I know is these things are cool as hell and Im buying one!
