Roman R with the gold outline +going into the boss fight immediately, its not the easiest to tell. Playing the game and observing things is MUCH harder than just watching someone else play. Keep this in mind before getting all uppity

I debated not wanting to say it so it didn't spoil him but as if he'd read this. It's a red pill icon single use space bar item that instantly kills all the enemies in the room....then 3 seconds later it kills you. It's suppose to be the morning after pill.

I died so many times to suicide king on this challenge, even to a surprise blank card effect one time and NL gets by unscathed on his second run.

I'm not sure why this was so difficult to comprehend. Personally I've never played Isaac, only watched a copious amount and I got the gist of the challenge in 5-10 minutes. Northernlion truly is a shiny egg.

TL;DW I'm confused. You're confused. Egg is confused. Help

This is my conclusion on how this works: The map is correct, but it shows which room you are _in_ incorrectly. Items are generated normally, then a random item (from any pool, it seems) is rendered instead. Space bar items are all dead sea scrolls, with their varying charge times, making items like candles OP. Consumables work inverted of items, they are rendered as what you would expect, but are something random.

We don't watch for your skill, if we did we'd have stopped watching a while ago. We watch for your personality and off the cuff parodies and random knowledge.

"We just never get money." Picks up 2 bombs that are actually money.

In todays episode, we see an egg getting scrambled.

The new Northernlion drinking game: Every time he refers to the "Backasswards" challenge as Assbackwards, take a shot Any time he refers to it as Bassackwards, down the bottle Any time he actually refers to it correctly, take a-- loljk he never refers to it correctly

This is the best show in a long time. I love all your episodes, but this throws your logic for a loop and it has brought me to happy tears!

This was legitimately one of the funniest videos I had the luck to watch from NL's channel. Great quality and mindful commentary 10/10 would April's fool again.

This feels like the first time I ever played Isaac and didn't know what anything was or did or what the point even was. This is certainly not the video someone should watch if they came to KZread to learn the game for the first time. This is absolute bedlam and I love it.

I only just noticed Northernlion always starts with "Ey everybody, welcome back to Afterbirth+", in the exact same inflection and volume every episode.

"That time it was book of revelations, I'm guessing that means we are fighting the bloat." Man I am so happy to rewatch memorable old episodes

He used so many cards and used his active item so much. I was waiting for him to get Suicide King and/or re-roll his whole run, but neither happened. That would have been funny. My first attempt at this challenge, I got to the depths and accidentally used a suicide king card. That was an amazing troll.

All spacebar items are random effect (like dead sea scrolls) All items use random sprites but the items you actually get are still from the respective pools you're getting them from. For example: A devil deal will show random sprites but still yield a devil deal item.

When I did this challenge, I had it so that coins gave me the coin shield on my health, so whenever I got hit, it would spawn coins, and I'd get that shield forever. I also got Sacrificial Altar, so I could just use it forever and get random affects, since it didn't go away. It was great.

In this challenge, NL met himself coming down an up staircase and the encounter was crushing.

I'm having a lot of trouble with the backasswards challenge. Starting with such little dps versus Mega Satan always fucks me up. I also noticed a bug where if you die in the boss fights with an item that resurrects you, you can bypass the boss. There is a slight problem though. It appears that if the item that gets deleted between floors is your rez item, the game will auto-kill you. I'm also having a lot of trouble with Delirium... his attacks are so randomized and quick.
