They should not get rid of trading! Its madness and for what reason? They should not only keep it, they should make it better. Removing the "must have bought 500 credits" failsafe is also a good idea. People are willing to spend 5 dollars just to trade, but if they disregard trading in this sense to the point where theyll throw it away, failsafe (s) woulsnt be important and is a waste of money. Just keep 2FA and get rid of the money aspect. Real.

im actually happy they are getting rid of player trading actually. for years now trading as a whole has always been a scam. scam websites, no one followed the rocket league intended prices or well very few people actually followed them, there was no set price on every aingle item out there and most trades was not worth it at all. this isnt just rocket league that has this issue though but all games that dont have fixed prices for trading and selling items. an unfixed price means scams and inflation prices and overpaying for items just because they are rare and limited not because of the fact that they are a set price. the ither issue with rocket league and trading was also people duplicating the items and giving them away for free or scamming people out of money with it as well so im actually happy to see it go because now it means that people cant be scammed on rocket league, what u open is what u keep and i assume theyd slightly change how converting spare items into higher tiers will work as well. no more restricted items that u couldnt trade and now just simple conversions on spare items to get better tier of loot.

If they're getting rid of trading, they need to make it where you can't get any duplicates from anything you already own. Atleast make it where everything you get is new from here on out. They won't do it, but a guy can only take so many snakeskins and paint finishes

i would change that. any duplicates u get u can convert and as soon as they hit black markets and they are spare, they instantly transfer into some credits each time so u can buy new stuff in the store or even golden eggs and drops as well or they can have it where spare black markets instantly transfer into a egg that excludes the chance to get any duplicates from ur inventory when u open it. so u always get 1 random new item that isnt a duplicate every time u have a spare black market which transfers into this non duplicate egg.

i honestly dont mind that trading is going. it was a massive scam anyway where people were able to always duplicate items and give it to other players for free or scam people with credits and make unfair price inflations. no one listened to rocket leagues fixed price system either so i can see why they wanted to pull the plug on trading. imo of it though it actually brings quite a few opportunities. those playmaker tags and stuff u can get on items sometimes means that people will now focus more to use these tags on their items to max them out just as a sort of completionist tyoe of thing which can also help people use a variety of different vehicles in matches, have different playstles and test new designs as well. u can easily knock out like 4 at a time or more at that point as well by equipping all of the same tags on different items uve gained and grind it all out till theyve been completed. id be kinda tempted to start fresh at this stage purely to go from a rags to riches standpoint or a completionist run.
