    There is a similar idea in chess. Nimzovitch, once one of the greatest chess players in the world, used to speak about the importance of prophylaxis, as a major concept in modern chess. The idea is that you make the moves needed to gain small advantages and prevent weaknesses or errors of your own. And by thinking and planning ahead, you could not only exploit mistakes but allow for the creation of mistakes by the enemy. (There is more to it - of course - but you've hit on a major 'carryover' of this idea into League.)

    Thats all probably true, but while you 'wait for your enemies to int into you' you probably play near to perfect. If a low elo player does that, he will most likely stop ganking and farming, leading to him being behind in gold and experience. And then, he can`t punish mistakes anymore.

    But the important thing in this video is that you learn to understand in wich case is waiting for them to int good, for example, in the scenario when Rammus is low, you shouldn't wait for him if the raptors are not there, because he already cleared that side of the jg, so you go directly to earn money doing something else, and that way you can take advantage of low elo and don't fall behind.

    I think that a lot of these guides have very useful tips that if implemented properly can easily boost people up a few divisions. However, many times the explanation is given in such a way that a low elo player with less game knowledge may come away with a flawed understanding of the piece of advice being given. For example, this video's premise of allowing the enemy to make a mistake is a good one, but a player would still need a good understanding of vision and tactical patience to make use of the tip. I think these videos would benefit from a section outlining which core concepts must be understood before the tip can be put into practice as well as a short explanation of how exactly these concepts relate to the tip. If length is a concern, I am certain that you could shorten the vod review aspects of these videos. At any rate, I appreciate the videos as they do point out common but oft-overlooked mistakes made by low and mid-elo players so keep up the good work!

    They're gonna run out of videos to make if that's the case. A lot of the times they're just teaching the same thing over and over again, they just reword it with a different set of sample vids. Sometimes I find that they just simply make a lot of simple things sound much more complex than needed.

    My #1 rule for low elo: farm beats fight -> 75% of my bronze/silver games took the same course: at least one lane (mostly bot) is perma fighting from minute 1 and losing hard, yet they wont start safe farming or farming at all to be relevant in the later game but instead keep fighting. So if you are not able to snowball your lane even harder you will eventually lose.

  • @plsno8125

    @plsno8125

    hard disagree, if your opponent punishes your teammates mistakes but you dont punish your opponent they will just take objectives and snowball harder than you can csing. Watch smurfs, their cs generally isnt as high as in their normal matches because theyre too busy punishing mistakes. Farming may give more gold overall but killing your opponent creates a bigger gold gap which you can exploit for even more gold.

    when was the last time you played? season 7? in todays league you cant recover by farming, basically because there is no such thing as "safe farming". Any of the high mechanical champions or the current OP champion can jump in from over 2000 units, kill you, and back out safely, even in fountain. The only thing that can give you hope to win is that the enemy does not know how to optimally use his champion, welcome to season 13.

And if he runs bot, the only way he lives is by flashing away, so u still win out. 3rd play: gotta agree with u, sitting in that bush so deep in enemy territory is a bit sketchy imo. 4th play: obviously there is a much higher chance to successfully countergank if you only show up after viego uses his W to engage 5th play: again, only lost about 3-5 seconds by waiting to see if udyr walks in the jungle

    Yeah, you need a different mindset when you smurf because you expect your team members to play their champion in a certain way that they just don't. I got a jungle account as I'm trying to pick up the role more in bronze/low silver, and the amount of times my team mates have lost the game because their mental went boom in the first 5 min is insane. Also, there's just so much lack of champion knowledge down there. I still can't get that Malz player I had in one of my games out of my mind who played with dark harvest and ignite/flash and acted like he was a roaming mid laner and died to the enemy top laner at level 4 and from then on tried to steal my camps. It is so much more difficult to win games when you're not on the same page which I think goes down the further down the elo you go, simply because there's just so much skill disparity even with people of the same MMR. So I also totally get where this solo carry mentality comes from, because the lower down you go, the more unreliable your team members actually become and you can't expect them to actually do the right thing and the hardest thing here is to actually not follow up on their bad plays or try to make plays and expect them to do the right thing. Not only do they lack champion knowledge (their own and that of the enemies') but they also lack a lot of game knowledge in general. Of course this is true for all brackets to varying degrees, but it's certainly the more egregious the further down you go. So a good skill to develop is to recognize who are the most likely to not do the right thing or in simpler terms, recognize who your team's wincon is and work to enable them as much as possible unless you make yourself the wincon. There's a reason playing support and adc both feel very bad roles to play in low elo because they're both very team dependent roles and without team support it's very difficult to create a lead for yourself.

    Dont listen to the selfish ego twitch streamers/coaches telling you you need to take all resources on map while starving your team and then blame your team for being useless in fights. You lose games in low elo because you actually end up tilting your teammates and people start inting. Happens in high elo too but because most high elo players care too much about their lp they still play the game with intention to win (even if they are flaming and trying to ff). In low elo its 10 times more common for people to stop trying altogether.

(I was top, mid didn't get ganked and bottom were playing like they were iron) Another game i was clearly matched against a smurf that went 11-0 in 14 minutes (1 or two of the kills were me) because he snowballed his lane 1v1 with how bad my allie was and clearly miss matched. The third game was also like this, clearly a smurf playing middle and my team mates just kept inting him which snowballed the game and because of that it left the rest of us with no chance. Each time these players started to troll and go afk just to make sure there was no chance of us coming back. 9 out of 10 games i have feel like a complete stomp win or lose and very rarely feel like it has been balanced correctly. If i win 2 or 3 games in a row im almost sure to either be vs smurfs or be handicapped by players going 0-3 0-4 in under 10 minutes in my next games to keep the win ratio at 50/50 . honestly this video is pretty vague and not actually that good of advice. the best thing to do for anyone in low elo is simply to be in a good position to catch as many waves of gold and exp as possible and make consistent low-risk plays. this is not really the type of thing that can be covered in one video, but if you just don’t get killed or pushed out of lane at a bad time (or roam at a bad time), you should be consistently ahead in gold and experience which will make it easier to establish a lead for your team.

    Tbh that probably isn't true and both games your plays in reality are actually bad. Not saying this to shit on you or anything, but the truth is more likely that when you make a bad choice sometimes it works out well. We can't judge based on whether or not something works out we have to look at the reasons behind decisions and see if those make sense regardless of the results afterwards.

I have witnessed hundreds of hours myself play this game and came to a conclusion based on the data I've collected that mood defines the outcome of the game. I find myself loosing games only because I am in a bad mood. My choses that I make correlate with the attitude that I have. It could be true for other people as well. You on the other hand have not seen me play, and only speculate based on your imagination. So why would you even proceede with such a poor comment?

    @@pro100gamer_la2 Because if you truly have hundreds of hours in the game where you've analyzed your performance and your take away from the analysis is everything about whether your play is correct or not depends on your mood then you are doing your analysis wrong. You are not actually analyzing yourself in a way that would lead you to improve. That's why I say it is more likely when you are analyzing why you win or lose you are using a results-based analysis or something of that sort. I don't think that's a problematic comment to make

    Can we not look at the real reason, there’s plenty of bronze players that have beat gold players in games rank or unranked. The REAL ISSUE is the fact that the ranked system is AWFUL, only based on win/loss and not individual performance even though we now have grades for performance? Poor and lazy decisions by riot. Half my losses are due to trollers or afks and it’s a waste of time..

    I stopped this video under the 10 seconds mark. Yeah. It's probably my teammates. I was stuck in bronze this season for weeks. I play this game since season 3. I never commited hard into the game but I climbed gold 1/plat 4 from season 3 to season 9 and stopped the game for a while. My main goal was to obtain the victorious skins... that's it. Now, i started the game again this year... I could not get out of freaking bronze for the life of me. Because of losers spamming FF, giving 20 kills on botlane or running down top and mid (yeah I play jungle), or even simply leaving the game. They know nothing about the game, nothing about the meta, or about macro, yet they always blame the jungler for their mistakes. So I got sick of it. I told a friend to go duo with me. He plays mid, I play jungle. We carried all the games together from bronze to gold without any issue because he's a reliable midlaner and i'm a reliable jungler. We are MVP every game, and if the enemy is fed... we gank and shut him down. When he makes mistakes, I've got his back and vice versa. So... yeah. It's the teammates. You can't 1v9 every game from bronze to gold.
