@@BlitzBrickz I was recently watching Lego Batman 1 and 2 cutscenes and I realized that for one we have only gotten like 2 robin vehicles that are actually brickbuilt. One was in the first Lego batman sets :) and the other IS A MIGHTY MICRO SET. They also had robin versions of the batwing and the batmobile in Lego Batman 2 and they didn't make a set out of them. Also in Lego Batman 1 they had 2 batarangs that looked really cool. A regular batarang, but the bottom was yellow and a red and green batarang we haven't gotten any of those but at least we have a silver one! Also Lego puts millions of dollars into their games and they've made barely any of the Minifigures. Much less some Minifigures related to the actual games.

I would have killed for them to release that Clayface as a minifigure. Brickbuilt just isn't the same...also I have a neurological condition that makes me prone to dropping things, I'd rather have at least one display piece I wouldn't have to fret over moving.

That new Daily Bugle hurts my soul. Marvel gets that while DC can't get a Daily Planet, Fortress of Solitude, Hall of Justice, Watchtower etc. Instead they get yet ANOTHER Batmobile.

Agree, too much Batman. We could do a bunch of Superman sets with villains like Metalo or Toyman. We could do a Green Arrow set with Count Verdigo or Flash with Mirror Master. So many ideas with top heroes that aren’t Batman. If they have to do Batman, they could at least give us a few Batman Beyond sets!

@@spiderbruh2614 If it was as deluxe as the Daily Bugle, it would be a similar cost. However, I'd also love to see a $50-$100 version as well.

Personally I think Lego DC peaked with the wave based on Lego DC Super Villains. So many different and new characters. Cheetah, Lobo, Reverse Flash, Killer Frost, Firestorm. And interesting reiterations of classic characters, like giving the Justice League outfits matching their then current DC Rebirth comic run.

I don't think the problem is entirely Batman, part of the issue is the presentation. LEGO reuses so many of the same vehicles (batwing, batmobile, batwing, etc) and there isn't enough to build off of. Side builds are small and very precise to certain situations and become just wasted space to add to the price. Now, I'm a big Batman fan but I do think they should do more heroes, maybe add more variants of characters. I wanna see more of the bat family, a new Alfred for the mainstream theme, more villains (hush, Grundy, anarchy, etc), other heroes (Steel, Question, more Lanterns, etc).

Not only are some of the prices ridiculous, but I feel like they over use Batman. I think we need some new characters, such as doctor fate, swamp thing, etc. along with the better sets, as there has been a lot of repeating with some of these.

At least with Marvel Lego knows how to make variety of sets thanks to not just the MCU but they do comic book sets too and the new Daily Bugle is just amazing

I'm a die hard Batman fan, and I agree that DC Comics sets are getting worse in each wave. There are many other characters they could make sets of: - Teen Titans: With minifigures like Wally West, Jinx, Deathstroke or Mad Mod. - Superman: Metallo, Doomsday, a good Brainiac minifigure, or the electric chick. - Batman Beyond: Terry McGinnis Batman, old Bruce Wayne, Blight, Shriek, or Spellbinder. Even if they keep doing Batman sets, they use new villains. Professor Pyg, Zsasz, Hush, Solomon Grundy...

with that huge daily bugle set existing now there's no excuse not to do a big wayne enterprises tower

Black Atam' Metalo' Weather Wizard. I want more villians besides Batman foes. The Titans could be exspanded with Wondergirl and Raven. The legeon of super heroes and Fatel Five would be good aditions.

I think it's sad that it's only gotten worse, we got like one set in 2022 that only had batman and Harley Quinn, and this year in 2023 we have three sets that are all batman vs the Joker

Out of the top 10 most recognized fictional characters in the world, Batman is number 3!!!! That is why DC keeps milking the Batman sets. He’s a best seller. WB/DC needs to instead work on making other characters just as popular so that they can make money off of those characters as well. I agree with your video. We want - nay, we demand more variety in our Lego DC sets!!!

might as well go back to naming the theme lego batman because whenever we do get a non batman related character its still in a fully batman related set. i cant believe we finally got another shazam...and it was in a riddler chase set.

Agree. Why call it dc if all they do is Batman. It should just be lego Batman or keep it seperate when or if they ever give us a new dc set.

DC is long overdue for another minifigure set...seems like the ONLY way you're gonna get new characters is through that...

Maybe there's going to be one with the supposedly upcoming Lego Batman sequel...although of course that's still Batman, and inevitably half the characters in it will be some repaint/other variation of Batman.

I really doubt anything is gunna get better for dc anytime soon. I kinda stopped buying the sets when I saw they gave batman a semi-truck and I don’t plan on buying anything aside from maybe bricklinking the robin cycle from a 2020 set. If lego ever does decide to start trying with batman again, I’d want a high end batcave and arkham. The newer ones are either small or don’t have enough blacks and greys to look proper. As for arkham, the lego batman movie one isn’t bad but I want a gothic run down arkham like how it’s usually portrayed. You don’t usually see a batcave with brown rocks, and you usually don’t see an arkham that just looks like a run of the mill mental institution. And just remake those old sets by now if your hellbent on batman. We don’t need all of them but they still hold up. Especially comparing those first 2 batwings to the most recent minifigure sized batwing.

lego marvel did the same thing by making those spiderman sets. Luckily It has a cinematic universe to save it but dc rlly doesn’t

Agreed! LEGO Batman movie sets were amazing then all the sudden the dc sets sucked. I’m disappointed I missed out on the older Batman waves from 2006

We need more sets about Superman with Zod, Mongul, Brainiac, Luthor, Lobo, Super-family. Sets about Wonder Woman with Cheetah, Circe, Silver Swan, Ares, Hércules, Amazons, etc Sets about Teen Titans with Young Justice, Deathstroke, Trigon build-figure. Sets about Justice League with Darkseid, Legion Of Doom, Crime Syndicate… the Justice Society and so much more… not only Batman

2022 seems to be the year of redemption of the theme, we can expect sets of the movies (excepting Black Adam) and comic book sets with some characters seen in the films (King Shark, Black Adam, Dr. Fate, etc) and new versions of old characters (Hal Jordan, Green Arrow or even SDCC figures but in their comic suits). But, in the other hand, I'm kind of afraid of what we could get. Hope the Batman sets era ends up for a while.

I want heroes like Captain Atom, Steel, Aqualad, Comics Raven, GL John Stewart, and Zatanna; villains such as Solomon Grundy, Zoom, Giganta, Toyman, and even Mr. Mxyzptlk. I agree 1000% percent, LEGO is literally choking all of us out with Batman. LEGO should start doing more Justice League sets, maybe include some new minifigures. Maybe get a Justice League animated series Watchtower, with the original seven members from the show plus some from JLU. I would like to see some villains like Black Mask, Zsasz or Black Hand, but LEGO apparently has a rule against using violent or horror type characters. Joker is both of those. I mean, he shot Batgirl through the spine, and killed Jason Todd, for God's sake!!!!!!

I think what they should do is do what they do with Marvel & Spiderman. Have a theme for DC sets and another theme for Batman. That way they can do Batman centric sets like they do with the Spiderman theme, then we can another them for the Justice League or DC Movies

I think the reason why the Theme is so repetitive îs Because of the Lego Batman Movie line of sets who gave us multiple new characters like:Black Canary,Hugo Strange,Crazy Quilt,Zebra Man,Green Arrow(Classic),etc.

If they are going to do more Batman sets they have a whole plethora of comic series versions to pick from. Would love to see Batman Metal versions in minifigure form.

If I’m honest I can kinda get why Lego mostly sticks with Batman, and it’s one because he’s a super popular character, I mean like crazy popular, second of all I can see more Lego sets that make sense to Batman then super man its like with marvel and there mechs its kinda Annoying like why the hell dose hulk need a mech. Third of all there are so many versions of the character, you get the dark knight, 1960s, 1986, the dceu, the animated series, the comics, there are like so many same with his side kicks it crazy. Now I will agree there are too many Batman sets and its crazy I wish more villains showed up like killer moth and what not. I also wish that more hero’s as well like super man and the daily planet, the hall of justice like that crap would be cool

It's true... I hate the dc sets of 2021... There are just 3 sets (3 bad sets) and there is just batman, batman, batman... And the other DC characters?? I think the 2020/2021 dc/batman sets are terrible. I hope in the future the Lego will make DC sets with another DC character :'(

It’s like instead of a DC theme it’s a Batman theme. I totally agree. Batman sub themes are and have always been great (2006, 2012) but I think they really need to broaden their sets. Also what is the song that starts around 2:12 I’m dying to know!

I agree that it’s annoying to have 45 Batman figures and only two or three of other heroes. Personally, I’ll only be getting the Classic Batmobile and the figure pack because I don’t have any of them

Ever since the release of the LEGO Batman Movie, Batman has gotten alot more common In LEGO DC sets

I feel you broski, but I feel you haven't touched on a few reasons why they do what they do. Most dc movies are not child friendly, for example suicide squad. As a toy company, its hard for them to make something with "suicide" in the title. also, with the powers that a lot of dc superheroes have, they're gods that are hard to create builds for. the easy way out is to throw Shazam in a batman set with a familiar vehicle or location. although it would be more fun for us to have an interesting build based on the personality of the new villain or hero. Aquaman has been treated weirdly well, having four sets based upon him and only two of them including batman. DC also has the problem of starving the fans of what they actually want. like claycface being made into two build-a-figures, instead of him being a mini figure. What I want to see is more new character we haven't received before, and random sets starring superman and other members of the justice league. maybe a teen titans or young justice set? there's so much out there that they're not doing just to play this theme as safe as humanly possible. Lego should be getting much more experimental and stop remaking the same few locations and battles over and over again.

this is a problem that DC has as a whole, there is way too much batman stuff even in their comics, 90% of the things they publish are batman lol I love batman so I don't really have a problem with it but I would like to see different characters being used for once.

Lego needs to make other DC sets other than batman, or do something new with Batman like the Arkham series, Batman the Animated series, A Wayne manor, more Dark Knight sets, Wayne Tower, even a Gcpd building would be cool, and there is so many locations they could make for other characters.

if they focus more on buildings they should make lego dc modulars. not those shitty buildings that have no walls behind them

There are so many characters and things they could do but they just do batman and even with batman they've only scratched the surface, Where is a wayne manor a proper one its been 15 years and never got one, where is star labs, daily planet set, fortress of solitude, Paradise island sets, Iceberg longue, Watchtower, Legion of Doom HQ, GCPD, Titans Tower and billions of other things.

Hawkgirl was in a Lego Batman movie set and superboy in a figure cube

I have a idea to sky rocket the price to the most common batman figure. If we, the bulk buyers, would just give away the lose played batman's to kids, it would change availability and spark a new generation with a nostalgia to these sets. Picture yourself as a kid and getting free Lego... pass this memory on to the next person. The long term investment to this idea will make desirability and price go up in 10 years, and there are plenty new sets for this future market. Not to mention who knows if lege re-release batman movie. Peace love & creativity

I’ve only just started with dc very small stuff compared to my Star Wars and marvel sets, but there’s no variety at all

Honestly the Batman cowl is one of the worst sets ever made.. cool parts And stuff .. but nothing impressive it should’ve been $30

I just a batman set up and the cape for robin is not there😐. And also Batman's isn't here😐. All I wanted was the cape cause batman doesn't look like batman without the cape😐.

I love Batman sets but a lot of them are the same it’s always the Batman and the joker, batmobile chase, justice league it’s kind of the same thing and they don’t make something new, like Wayne manor or, Batman beyond or how about a Lego arkham knight mini figure or some sets from the arkham series like seriously that would sell, and there are no sets for Batman begins!
