It’s literally his job. You play for money, not for ego. If you have a whale at the table and they cooler you, you take it on the chin and keep them playing. In the long run, their poor play will earn you a ton of money. You never berate a whale, criticize their play, talk game theory with them, or get mad at them when they get lucky. Even if they rub it in, just tap the table and say nice hand. (Suvarna was class here tho)

Very difficult to get 3 streets of value from worse, Robl can put opponent in nasty spot on turn w/ c/r as he is going to have far more 4x, don’t have to risk failing to deny too much equity either, worse case is a flush draw which still bricks the vast majority of the time

Not a fan of the 1.5x river bet. I think checking or making a small bet is probably the move here. The over-bet allows flushes to correctly fold on the double paired board, QQ and JJ can probably get away, the only hand you can bet like this and get called by here is AA exactly without the A of spades. So 3 combos exactly. WAAAAAAY to thin. I actually really like Santhosh’s check on the turn. Keeps the under pairs in Robel’s range on the river. I think we all know the Robel was bombing the turn if Santhosh had bet.

Bad luck here once for Robl, however a real pro wouldn't lose a 1 mill pot after there is only 200k in the pot after the river. There is literally no reason to raise 300k in a 200k pot here with a 4. That should always be either a check or a 1/3 pot bet to target a high pocket pair.

it’s always a tell that people don’t know what they’re talking about when they call a bet a raise

@@user-mm3qe4si8m I've played a lot of poker untill 2018 or so and I'm up about 200K in total over 4 years of playing. Betting 300k in that 200k pot is a terrible play, and it makes it even worse that he has 100k behind after that bet. Robl himself admitted it was a bad play in an interview after the match so I don't know what your talking about.
