Now every time I’m telling my wife about a tool i need, and she asks how much it costs, i can say “let’s not ruin this moment.” Thanks for that one, Gaston!

I am glad to hear that you have found this book to be very informative and helpful for your woodworking project kzread.infoUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO It sounds like you are well prepared and confident to build furniture for your house. I commend you and your friend for your enthusiasm and willingness to learn new things from this book. I hope you enjoy your woodworking journey and create some beautiful pieces.
"Let's not ruin this moment" Gaston is the king of quotable quotes. I only wish I had a friend like him.

I'm from Germany and I'm always happy to see how our tools delight you again and again. Greetings from the other half of the world :)

Mafell makes some fantastic tools, I have the mafell MT55 track saw it’s fantastic very good quality.
These videos with Gaston are always so cool. I just love the crazy tools he brings along as well as his open and friendly personality. Glad to learn, that these videos actually help him sell the craziest tools :D
Gaston needs his own tool channel. He's got lots of cool specialty tools that I've never heard of.

Does anyone know where or how do you purchase any of these products from Gaston?
I don't have a single use for 90% of what is shown when Gaston shows up, but boy do I love the videos he's in! Such enthusiasm from both him and Scott.
Ah man, I love Gaston. Those MAfell tools are just sooo good. Make Festool look reasonably priced too.

Their handheld bandsaw for beam tails is a beast! Chain morticer unique as well.
Every tool company in the world should have Gaston on their payroll. An honest, enthusiastic and passionate salesman is rare. I would buy something on his recommendation alone.
Gaston is a funny character, I wish all salesmen were like him :D
Always great seeing Gaston. I have bought a few things from him for the last few years (after first learning about Piranha tools here on SBC). I have also emailed him several times with questions and he always gets back to me quickly with great advice. Thanks Scott and Gaston.
I love it when Gaston shows up in your videos. Can only imagine how you feel about it haha
Pleased to see Gaston again with many cool tools and knowledge to share. Someone was thinking when they made the power cord for the massive planner really long.
Gaston!! The man, the myth, the legend! Always a blast when he shows up with amazing and innovative tools. Thank you Scott for sharing all this guy brings to the world of building. Great Video. 🍻 Cheers.
Dude! Magswitch tip for the table saw - excellent!
I have that Silky Hauachi saw - game changer! Taken down many trees and major pruning around the property. It’s the largest one available I think. Japanese 3 angled tooth blade. Razor sharp
Missed opportunity at 8:24 to tell us about the space on your wall for your squares... or rather, your square space.
20:40, that drill guide seems like something that requires timber projects that is typical in Japan. Where every hole need to be square because the prep-work off-site after schematics.

Another visit from Q! Love videos with Gaston! Like that Hikoki air compressor - nice they have both battery and electrical option. That planer is insane!
I always enjoy the episodes that Gaston shows up in. It's like your best friend coming over to your house to hang out with your favorite snacks in tow. I wish we had a Gaston in our area.
Wow.. Amazing tools.. thanks Gaston & Scott for a great presentation!😎
I can just imagine Gaston weeping while actually using his tools for a job 😂
Always enjoy seeing what new tools Gaston has to show. He seems like a really good guy!
Love that the ghost of Gaston travels the world and finds quality tools from all corners of the globe. Good man!
Honestly so stoked to I see kinetic customers hitting New Zealand, I own the finishing hammer from them and it’s amazing! Well done boys!
23:49 I’ve built many log cabins in Norway and have spent many days planing big beams. I can’t tell you how many times I have got my t-shirt sucked into the blades by picking it up to early. Luckly no damage to the skin, but the force in which the machine pulls the t-shirt is enough to knock the air out of you 😅
Oh Tools,...just love it. Thanks Scott & Gaston.
Your a lucky man Scott to have a friend like Gaston. Happy New Year Gaston lovely to see you on the channel again with all your awesome gizmo's. If I could afford the top end of your products I certainly would order all of them even just to use them once. And yes like every other comment I think I'll use your line "let's not ruin this moment" 😂🤣😅
Thank you Scott and Gaston
25.25 That damn smile. Just gets me every time. Gaston seems like a wonderful man
Awesome to see Gaston on here. Bought a few things off him now. Always perfect service. Look forward to meeting him in person someday.
Gaston’s power line cutter works great! 👌🏽
“Let’s not ruin this moment” 😂
I just started watching from G.I. Auckland here, I saw your channel a few days ago and love it, very informative and so is this video with Gaston. I enjoy the content.
It's always good to see Gastón and to your tools for such specific jobs
Wow it’s been ~15years since I meet Gaston at his old workshop at Beach Rd. I’ve been fixing flood damage at his shop back then (hi Gaston!) I introduced the Swiss Rali hand planer system to him but he never really got it implemented to the NZ market, big mistake knowing the current market. Also talked about two cherrie chisels back then but hey only a sharp chisel is a good chisel and that’s where it ends on a building site. I also introduced the German Maffel brand to him which of course is high price for NZ purpose and overkill for the average builder, but hey! It’s the best. Anyway good luck to you guys to merchandise this tools to the NZ market.
scott - "would you call this like..." gaston - "a drill guide" scott - "..a portable drill press?" gaston - "yeah... more like a drill guide" i don't know why, this made me crack up
The Jigsaw from Mafell is insane! You really should take a closer look at it. Forget everything you know about every other Jigsaw you ever used in your life. This is a different experience
I've got the Hayauchi 6.3 meters pole saw as wel here in Belgium. About 9 years old now and very happy with it. The saw has a complex tooth pattern and stays sharp for a very long period. When it gets blund you can have it sharpened by a specialised shop. You can also buy the saws separate from the pole. The whole pole and saw does cost something, but is absolutely worth its value. Did I say I was very happy with it?
Great idea for a scribing tool
good to see you back on board Scott and Jess for 2024 . Gaston is the gadget man indeed , from Robbo in Auckland
The message about not using tall things around power lines is important. One of my friends was killed in the 1980s when his mast touched a 400V overhead powerline.
gaston needs to produce t-shirts. 'lets not ruin this moment'
Always enjoy the Gaston videos ….
Awesome video love the tools stuff Thanks
A white board on your garage door would be cool!
4:56 - “Bang, and the tree is gone!”
Gaston, the man, the myth, the legend. One of the most interesting people on the internet. Great presentation, no rude propaganda and each of his tips is worth +40 points to awesomeness!
Always enjoy Gaston's tool shows. Some people need it (I don't); some people want it (of course!)
Mafell tools are a real pleasure to use. Their handheld band saw works a treat and is effortless to use.👍👍
I love getting to see all of the cool tools that Gaston brings.
Scott, you definitely need one of those elephant sized planes. Enjoyed your playtime with Gaston.
Really enjoy the Gaston episodes. Keep them coming.
Dat was enjoyable, thank you Gaston :D
Yes! I love Gaston exciting episodes. What a legend. I'll start saving for the Maffell gear. It should only take me 10 years.
Love the Kinetic Customs stuff. I’ve got some of their stuff, including the 20mm punch.
that mafell jigsaw, saw it on blacktail studio recently and it cuts amazing
Scott, could you do a video visiting Gaston's warehouse?
Great tool. I need one
I love Mafell too 😍
Like it when he comes over with cool stuff
Gaston back in town calls for celebration! It’s like Christmas again.
Truly enjoy Gaston and the tools. It’s what I’m interested in
LOVE this episode, ashould do this bi monthly
Great video love it
Thank you.
I wish we have a Gaston in Portugal ! Always with interesting tools 🤩
Had the bubble level and bullyeye bubble in my $29Skill drill 20 years back. When I junked it i removed the bubble level it was removable. " Waioe that graeat" 😂😂😂
Ooh you found Breaker Bay! My favourite place in the world!
Great to have GASTON on the show!
Gaston, the tool guru and all round star. Love the reply to how much, as do the other commentators.
Scotty and Jess, always bring a smile. Thanks Gaston.
I love these videos!
Gaston needs a Death outfit to wear with that pruning saw ;)
My favorite part of episodes with Gaston is Scott stressing him out
I'd buy anything off Gaston. So funny, natural storyteller/salesman 😂❤
Nice to see the kinetic customs have made it over to NZ! 💪🏻 I’m a BIG fan! Iv got both the raptor f16 and nighthawk f16. Beautiful tools! 👌🏻
Love when Gaston shows tools. Let’s not ruin this moment. Looks like Gaston has been watching Top Gun Maverick lol.
Love gaston episodes.❤😊 always learn something
Spirit levels on drills. Why has no one ever thought of that before?! 👍
@chrisr8996

Because it requires your workpiece to be exactly level; else your hole will still come out crooked from using the spirit level as a wrong plane of reference.

Bosch has a programable level function. It has a 45 and 60 degree default. You place it on a surface to guage it to the piece your working on.
Oooh the Famag Bormax, i got the small kit :D They are expensive, but they are soooooo durable.
Maybe something Gaston should have mentioned is that most of Mafells cordless tools run on the CAS (Cordless Alliance System) platform initiated by Metabo with lots of other partners. So you can use their batteries in other partner tools and vice versa. :)
Scott, do you intend to start re-selling your merchandise? Recently bought my own home and am attempting to hang some doors using your videos. The wife has promised me the ‘but can he hang a door’ t-shirt if I’m successful. Big fan of your videos and learnt a lot from you so thank you!
Gaston is lucky to have that many kinetic hammers there like gold dust at the moment
Gaston's wig is amazing! Oh...and he has some pretty funky tools too!
Gaston is an absolute gem
This year, I bought Husqvarna extendable chainsaw and hedge trimmer (separate, exchangeable heads). Awesome! I managed to reach way up there!
I was literally just on the kinetic customs website right before watching this video. Been looking at getting one of theirs for a while now
Let's not ruin the moment. My new favorite quote. Great video but where's Jess? I say that primarily because she's the gardening, outdoor face of Scott Brown Carpentry and right now all of us in the northern hemisphere need a hit of NZ summer weather to keep us going through our winter
That was a fun video. ❤
A cool planer with a cool planer...nice sunglasses!
Gaston is the greatest! 🙂 You guys are having too much fun --get back to work! lol
Another great video with Gaston. Scott surely you need to wear a mask when using a planer like that.🤭
love it!
Carlrogers could have used the Mafell drill stand.

Gaston needs to get on that scribe tool production. That would sell out quick
Hey Scott, I have a tree that needs to be pruned in Adelaide, I'm sure that pole will reach...
Never knock 'Boys and their Toys'... It's what we live for!
All hail Gaston!
