The BIGGEST Painting I've Ever Made!

Thats right, this was the BIGGEST painting I've ever done, and it was commissioned by an amazing collector with the wall space to really show it off! (wait until the very end to see...)
Oil on Linen 240 x 170 cm
I named it Atlantic Wave inspired by Cornwall's wild coastline and part of a body of immersive large wave studies based on my love of the ocean. Capturing the atmosphere and vibrancy of the surf, this work is the largest vortex piece I have created thus far and only just fitted out the door of my studio!
I am an ambassador for Michael Harding Oil Paints and thanks to them I was stocked up with plenty of pigments for this commission..mainly ALL the blues! - www.michaelharding.co.uk

That’s so beautiful. I’m usually not a huge fan of blue colour, but that teal turquoise shade of blue... it’s just mesmerizing

it would be really interesting if you make a video about the business side of being a professional artist. Would benefit people such as me, an aspiring full time painter as well. I'm thinking about enrolling into the Grand central atelier having been disappointed with the education in UAL. It would also be helpful on what you think about the education provided by ateliers compared to universities. Thanks. Your videos are awsome.

Thanks for watching 수아조 , we will be making a video about the business side of being a professional artist soon, so be sure to subscribe and click that notification bell so you don't miss it! Learning the basics of painting practice with "atelier training" can be very rewarding - even going into more structured independent universities (like The Royal Drawing School and Guilds Art School London) can give you much more professional artist support. Have you read the book "lessons in classical painting by Juliet Aristides? - to see if this way of learning would be helpful for you. I personally found strong technical skills to be essential when then exploring new territories of contemporary art practice. I Once I had an understanding of how to paint I was better prepared professionally to engage with work in a commercial and business way. Hope this helps.
