One thing that stands out to me is that so many creators want to sell Lightroom presets but what I think most of us really need is a tutorial on how to make stacking Lightroom presets, how to make Lightroom presets that can deal with multiple different exposures, multiple different temperatures, multiple different styles of photography. This kind of video represents us with the opportunity to take it into our own hands, and to be creative ourselves, rather than accepting the presets that other people have developed and continue to use. It would be great to get your thoughts on this Anthony, and maybe to have you show us in a tutorial how to make our own presets!

Been using a sony a6400 for 10 months now, love the little beast.

I have the same camera, 'little beast' is the perfect title for it

A great photography spot (or forest) I know of is called Big Basin. A fire burned down much of the forest in 2020 and revealed much of the valley in the process. You can now see green, new growth. It's so amazing to see 😊

Recently found your channel and love your work. I’m with you - the gear review mixed with real world use or an adventure or whatever is so much better than someone just sitting and talking about specs. Keep up the good work, and have a great 2024!

It's an excellent video for the end/start of the new year. I found your channel from Tips and Tricks because of your Canon content. I used that on how to apply it to my photography.

Starting my own KZread journey and have found your content very useful. My theory on success with shorts vs long videos is based on whether you have a clever idea vs an intelligent idea with depth you can flesh out. Totally agree that the more rewarding videos are the longer ones but sometimes I just want to consume quick tidbits when I have a few minutes to myself throughout the day.

Anthony, first of all, I want to thank you for an awesome 2023, photographically speaking, of course. Although videography is more of my emphasis, I have been venturing more into photography because of your way of demystifying and adding excitement to the learning process. I'm a superfan and I've really enjoyed all of the content you've put out. Second, I think you're going in the right direction with BTS, adventure, and explainer videos about how you achieved the shot. It provides a story within the story. Which, as a videographer, fires up my "creative synapsis"! Third, I would agree to create a basic to moderate photography course. Yes, there are plenty of courses out there, but they don't have your style of teaching and authenticity. Most are professional, but they appear somewhat dry or lacking character. If you're ever in the U.S., particularly in or around Tennessee, I would love to meet you and personally thank you. I wish much success this year...your friend who watched 'till the end. - Joe

I always watch your videos to the very last second. Personally my favourite videos that you make are the ones you go out hiking, or to a new place, I just find them much more entertaining than the gear rewies, I do get that for some people those videos are more usefull, but what I often need is just the inspiration😅. I honestly really like your channel and the way combine gear, travel, hiking, vlog, and educational content. I am really excited for what is to come in the new year. I wrote a comment telling you about how much you've inspired me to pursue photography professionally so thank you for all your help and tutorials that but it seems YT deleted it all probably because I tagged my Instagram account because I wanted your input in how I'm starting off with my first camera. You should go to Chile, specially the southern part of Chile, specially places like Puerto Montt, taking a trip in boat can be incredible and lead you to unique places.

Nuance is very hard to achieve with shorts, unless you're also making long form videos to supplement them!

You should go to Ecuador…they have some great places to photograph, but stay away from Guayaquil because there’s a lot of crime in that city right now. I’ve been a several times over my life but mostly to the same places to visit family, that being said those places are still beautiful to visit and take some great photos. It’s only been the last few trips that I’ve gone with my wife that we’ve visited family and treated it as a vacation to go and visit new cities and towns while we are there…like Cotopaxi volcano. We are both born and raised in 🇨🇦 but hope to go again this year but also want to visit Galápagos Islands…but that’s huge 💰, especially now that we have a little one.

Could you explain what ISO is doing ”behind the curtain”? I’ve seen intuitive explanations on aperture and shutter speed, but ISO tutorials always seem to focus on the effect it has rather than the technical process behind it. Would be deeply appreciated!
