Regardless of what certain judgmental gatekeepers would say, there's nothing wrong with being unfamiliar with a new card game market or community. Everyone is free to learn something new. TCG players can learn the sports card world and vice-versa. No territory is off limits. As long as everyone is open and welcoming to new people gaining interest in the space, that's all that matters. Whatever you don't know currently can be learned gradually the more you get involved with the environment. So don't feel weird for being a newbie. Everyone was new at some point.
