Mudryk isn’t a flop… he just signed for the wrong team. The problem with Chelsea is that they signed a bunch of youth at the same time and certain players (like Mudryk) were only bought to stop other teams for buying or to give the fans hope. It’s a poor buying plan and Mudryk doesn’t suit the team.

actually don't think it's the case. Arteta clearly had a plan on how to use Mudryk, which Potter clearly doesn't. Zinchenko as another Ukrainian would've helped to adapt to the league. The team was already looking forward to accepting Mudryk at the Emirates with open arms, so the atmosphere around him would've been great. Also Arsenal fans would've been far more forgiving oful Mudryk's mistakes. All of this is a recipe for success. Mudryk is clearly isolated in Chelsea, he was thrown into a crisis club, tenth in the league and he has to help it to get out of the mud while simultaneously adapting to the league.

De zerbi said the balon D'or stuff when MM was linked with the Arsenal move. He then went to Chelsea and it was 'he needs time'. He doesn't suit the Chelsea system, would have been a complete different situation if he went to Arsenal. Sounds like Arteta had a plan for him, development etc etc. Don't think many people are aware of the number of games he had previously to Chelsea. This isn't just getting used to the league this is like an acadamy graduate coming into the first team. He'll be a flop at Chelsea under a Potter manager. Would have been better at Arsenal. He should go on loan now tho as he'll never get his move to Arsenal now.

Chelsea literally paid an Arsenal price. I dont know why people can't see this. The price you paid for Mudryk was to come in competition with a team whose objective is to win the league. This means that as soon as you began competing with Arsenal you were already overpaying. This is because the price tag Arsenal had on him included the fact that he would have most likely clicked in the team very quickly because of the system, he would help Arsenal win the league( if they can) while still being a young and very promising player. Furthermore, the price probably even includes the fact that he wanted to play for Arsenal. All of this was embedded in the price which meant Arsenal were ready to overpay. But by Chelsea matching and beating Arsenal's bids, Chelsea began overpaying but for what reason? He doesn't suit the current system and hence plays average and gets benched. Arsenal saying they dodge a bullet I don't agree with that. He would be great for Arsenal imo. That's why you need to have patience. The blame is more on the director of football who let Chelsea overpay for Mudryk without realising it.

Rory, you've said it yourself.. Potter is not choosing him as the answer.. but, with information available to us fans, is not possibly Mudryk's fault.. What we se from him in training videos and stuff, is that he is training well, he gets along with teammates, etc.. What we also see as fans is a manager who repeatedly and genuinely makes decision that not only go against all football logic, but also harms us as a team. We are talking about a manager that, facing a lack of goals, chooses to completely disregard the only 2 out and out strikers available in our squad.. so yeah, and at the moments that he has brought Mudryk in, there is little to nothing to fight for. As you said, we must remain positive and have a little more patience. If there are some fans out there considering the return of Lukaku!! how can we not have patiences with the likes of Mount or let alone Mudryk??

Mudryk is clearly a very talented player, so give him time. It is impossible to expect him or Potter to shine when 7,834 players have arrived in 2 transfer windows. The biggest problem I see is that Chelsea overpaid just to screw Arsenal for a player they didn't really want and definitely didn't need, and then Arsenal went and signed a better player for about 25% of the price.

I don't disagree with the point about him being in a difficult individual and team matchup at Wembley, but Zinchenko was still a standout performer for them against an England midfield that was really good on the day. I believe Zinchenko is only a level below world class, so whether or not you want to hold Mudryk to that standard is up to you, but the point is that good players rise above their teammates even in the toughest games.
