Using solar panels to generate electricity is the most exciting and environmentally friendly way to mine Bitcoin, Ethereum, and any other cryptocurrencies. Peter aka CrazyDane has been building out MASSIVE solar panel arrays for mining cryptocurrency! Peter has created these solar mining plans all himself, he sets up the solar panels and runs all of the associated wiring and electrical work and then he even builds his own custom cryptocurrency mining rigs. Peter has been GPU mining crypto with solar power for years now, and he is mining very profitability here in 2020, and with an electric cost of ZERO when the sun is up, he will be mining profitably in 2021, 2022, and well forever basically! Let's review his solar powered mining farm and how what he learned in the process, because Peter shares an immense amount of knowledge on how to setup your own solar panels for residential use or industrial style mining as well as his experience mining cryptocurrency long-term!

If you have electrical experience and know what you're doing its not that big of a deal. Most electricians work in hot panels and connect wires while they're hot. I mean can a hospital really afford to turn off its electricity, when you have patients on life-support? Even most HVAC technicians are working on hot circuits. Because most businesses can't afford to turn off the electric. I mean you can easily electrocute yourself plug-in in something to a receptacle, if you accidentally touched the prongs. Touching those wires are no more dangerous than touching an extension cord.

Good Job demonstrating different Solar Types and configuration. I have a 10 kw system attached to a 7.6kw inverter. Half the 10kw panels face East and the other half face West so you never get 10kw all at the same time which is great for the inverter. Peak summer i generate 60kwh/day and winter about 35kwh/day. Best banking power months are the winter months when the AC is off. Here in AZ. the AC costs are high and consume too much power. Rainy days hurt but AZ. is mostly sunny year round. My system barely supports two rigs.

I'm in Az too, Portal, and have 80 active panels, 12 more waiting to install. All microinverters. About 115-120 kWh per day this time of year. Do you really think it's an advantage having half face east and half face west?

@@portalminer8813 No I don't, but the majority of the panels are on the East and catch the morning sun. around 11:00 a.m. both sides of the house are hit by the sun until afternoon when mostly the west panels have sun. Remember, I have 10kw of panels and a 7.6kw inverter. It can't handle all the panels all the time. My house roof is ^ shaped and the sun goes over it left to right.

Start mining Pi, the cryptocurrency will be launched this year, and once it does, you won't be able to mine anymore. You don't need graphics cards you only need your phone, which is cloud mining. It doesn't consume battery. It's on coinmarketcap in the untracked listing. On the marketplace, there are already transactions for a value of $100 approx and when you just download the app you mine at 0.25 pis/hour. Use my code as an invitation. Code: Chutsky Download the app Pi network. (AppStore & Google play)

from my understanding of selling back to the grid, it requires you to be on the grid, or grid-tied so if the grid goes down, you go down with the way it's all integrated. Hence why a lot of solar diy'ers are not grid tied. I could be wrong, but I know there are problems with the grid-tied systems not letting your system stand alone by itself during power outages.

I think he only runs enough miners to the point that he has no electric bill. Any more and he would run past his credit. During the day hes able to run the miners and generate enough into the grid so they run at night. If he adds more miners then he wont be able to run them at night without paying for them likely. I was looking into DIY 5KWh systems. Can get good ones for about 10k. They can probably only handle 2 rigs 24x7 though. This guys setup is much higher power. Nice things is that he has the land to add more.

@@shansen008 Thats if you're lucky enough to live in a state that has a net metering agreement where you get the credit. Some states have done away with it or are getting ready to remove it. Here in hawaii no more net metering but the older systems like mine are grandfathered with the original net metering agreement and houses that have net metering agreements are worth more because the contract can be transferred to the new owner.
