The Biggest DEAL of my Life! - $10,000 RC Car Flip! Vintage and Rare Tamiyas!

Ойын-сауық

You won't believe how much this cost me! Over 80% of you wanted to know this! How much did my Vintage Tamiya Barn find cost me, and how much did I make selling a lot of it!
In this video I discuss how I ended up getting 33 RC Cars from one collector. How Much I paid for them all, How many I sold, and how much did I make! Full Disclosure!
I actually forgot to mention the Original Sand Rover, Vintage Boxed Acoms set, and Various spares. This takes the total value at over $10k!!

What an amazing collection, and a brilliant thing to do for your friend at the club. These things get so personal when you've had them for years. I recently sold my 1990 Tamiya King Cab to a friend, who I know is going to do the right thing by it, and restore it back to its former glory, but I do miss it. I still have my Manta Ray, and not letting that go!! Great video. And I love that you didn't gauge the crap out of the prices, and kept it within the reach of us mere mortals who love the hobby. Have a great weekend. 👍🏻

Sorry to hear about 935. Yes, it is one of the Holy Grails of vintage RC cars. Even back in 1990, the early on road pancars were nowhere to be found (wish there had been internet back then). The ultimate Holy Grail is though, Can Am Lola that came out in 1980. At least, that is my opinion.

Then I update them, put FPV and bash around. 😂 I still need to learn how to adapt a servo in them though... I still didn't have success with that. But I have one rc car where I'm working on it. Great vid my man! I still have an original Associated RC10, which I will never sell. I raced for many years, though I really raced for fun, and my love of machines. And yes, The Shumacher Cat and all it's variations were epic performers and won many championships, as did the RC 10 in it's day. Always wanted a Sand Scorcher, and may get one this year. And although I'm making a start with rock crawlers, I'll probably go back into racing again, once the Covid is under control. Covid'll never go away by the way, but hopefully, like all the other major diseases, the vaccines will eventually keep it under our collective thumbs.

Tomley , Never Could Fall asleep when watching one of your videos bud, thats a great hall of goodies you off loaded for a great profit , gee id have a few bucks then to almost 60 various kits and models from Tamiya,Kyosho,Axial,RocHobby,Rovan,EtcEtc, but would not like to part with unless like you said had to eat lol, one thing i cant get my head around is ppl when you go to sell them something you have built and put your heart and soul into the finish and bring it up better than Expert without a single scratch or anything and they offer a couple hundred less than the going retail or basically the same as retail, to be honest id rather drive it and enjoy the thing myself and then get retail if really needed so thats where i choose not to sell anything i build these days but when i go to buy something here in Australia there asking through the roof prices and stupid me will pay it like i did on an 2017 Topforce for $700 and $650 for the Avante re-re just to have them in the collection instead of waiting two weeks and buying from hong kong for half that :-((()))

I would have kept the Beetle and sold the Turbo Scorpion. I tried to get one last year and the cheapest I could source it for was about 1000 pounds, so I got a Tomahawk instead.

Got an old kyosho superten fw04 and a hpi nitro rs4 sport 3 Evo ,both awesome early 2000's cars both still running strong. The kyosho still has original engine original servos all still working and it's been hammered. They don't make em like they use too.

Fair game all round. You took the punt on it and did the leg work. I hope the bloke you bought it all off isn't as pissed as you are at the other bloke :) I've been looking for Sand Scorcher to replace the original I had in '81. I can't bring myself to buy and old one though, 2010 edition it will be, I want my kids and me to be able to use it as it intended. Not collect dust as a pristine collection piece.
