I can't describe how much daunting it is to play against a cheater In our match against China. Fia had a 2.9 match cost, fced every single one of the 6 maps we played, playing against a team that gets 950k average by default from one player is a nightmare, not counting the fact that crystal played absolutely incredible. Some more context on a couple of things: China's win against Russia could have bern almost unaffected if Fia wasn't there. Her score decided the outcome only on 1 map and even then her absense could have been made up for. Apparently, Chicony(and some other members of the community) actually had gathered a lot more evidence by the time of his "lost to a cheater" tweet but it was only revealed to a small group of people on stream(not even his stream i am pretty sure) and was not discovered at the time of his osu report thread. His position seems unjustified at first, but he actually had reasons to be confident in his allegations

What's even worse is that the Chinese community had suspected Fia for a long time - hence this "joint performance" by Fia and Rio origins, to deflect a suspicions. In the end, she was accepted her as "innocent until proven guilty." To its own disaster for China team. You say it was an embarrassment for the OWC - what if, for example, China had won a medal and prize money? THAT would have been an embarrassment probably for the rest of the game's existence.... And it was not out of the question - Korea (and later Poland) showed that the United States are not unbeatable. PS. This "mapping in a similar way" was even crazier - both accounts hosted each other's mapsets, gave Guest Diffs to them, succesfully Ranked them.... They even teased each other in comments and discussions about them! And that's all in FEW DOZENS of mapsets! This, by the way, is thought to be the reason for this whole madness - one of Rio's maps was disqualified for Ranked at the last minute for.... copying fragments from Fia. Either he decided to take revenge or he was scared of being caught - so regardless of the reason he decided to leave in style.

One thing was that PinkHeart and Imoutosan/Fushimi Rio as mappers had pretty different and recognizable styles. Something that would probably be impossible to keep consistent for as long as they did before Fushimi Rio got the account (several years of ranked maps). It was definitely a point of debate in the mapping community of what exactly happened here. The player community got its closure when they found out it was all replay submission but as far as the mapping goes we still don't have a perfect idea. The main theory people have is the one presented in the video where Fushimi Rio is doing all the mapping for both accounts but there's still some doubt to whether PinkHeart has no access to the account as Fia had produced some extremely distinctive stuff even after the namechange (Countdown to the Blue comes to mind).

I didn't think that replays were even able to be chosen in that kind of situation. How would choosing a replay file not look suspicious to anyone. I just don't understand how it wouldn't look immediately different to everyone if someone can see the songs you pick. Trust me. I do not condone cheating. Never have, never will.
