I also heard specific rope toys are bad if your bird chews them. My friends bugdie chewed a rope toy and died.

You are probably not going to read this, but I just want to thank you. You have helped me so much with my bird. Without you I don’t know what I would have done. Thank you so so much.

Today I recieved my small bird kit and thank you so much for all the great perches and the toys and it was so cute, you wrote that Pearl helped packing it. Say thanks to Pearl an many Greetings from Sweden here. I also get two bonus toys, thank you so much.

I wanna give my bird a bigger cage because it’s so small compared to your cages but my parents don’t seem to understand and every time I try to bring up wanting a bigger bird cage they always say like “he’s fine in his cage” or “he doesn’t care about it, you have him out all the time” and I just wanna explain how we can add a bigger cage in my room (yes it’s in my room, we have dogs so it can’t be out anywhere else unless dogs are outside) but they always kinda zone off when I talk about the price, the cage we have now cost $100-$150 and it’s a fairly good size, but I wanna give him the best life he can get, but sorry for wasting your time with reading this but I just wanna say that your channel is amazing and has been teaching me so much about bird care and health, and someday when I have my own small house my bird is gonna have the biggest cage I can afford, and he’s gonna fly around my house all the time, and he’s gonna have a huge aviary cause, why not, and I’m probably gonna add some more to the family later in the years but, I hope you have a nice day!!!

LOL, I went through the same thing. My parents thought a smaller cage was necessary and the toys are useless if they just shred them up. So you know what I did? I started my own savings. I did chores and saved bit by bit until I could afford a big cage. Parents can become really stubborn when it comes to prices because they think birds are cheap pets to take care of. If you want your bird to live their best life, I would recommend saving up yourself if you don't want to argue with your parents about what is best for the bird. Maybe save up for the kit Elle just came out with. (: Also I really respect how you don't give up and have plans for the future. Keep it up!

If your family doesn't have enough money and are going through hard times then obviously you don't have to spend 200$ on bird toys or ask them for money. The owner has to take care of themselves before they can take care of the birb. Pretty cool how your family shares money though.

@@LunarLeafyEX you could always try DIY toys, a lot of stuff isn’t safe but you can make them out of (glue free and clean) toilet paper rolls, crumpled and shredded paper, coconut shells, dried vegetables and nuts, etc. it’s not perfect but it’s something. I would really recommend learning origami, my youngest quaker *loves* paper cranes. And they have a little hole in the middle that you can stuff treats in for foraging too.

I recommend you Marlene mchoen, Elle has done a collab with her before and she’s a great KZreadr however recently she has been switching to a more vlogging type channel :)

Dude Elle it legit the best. I am getting a cockatiel in 1 month and have been watching all her videos on repeat for the past 3 months. She is the perfect account for new bird owners :)

I got my first bird a while ago, maybe 3 years ago and I’m 11 now! At first, I had one bird with a very small cage and only a swing. At the time I didn’t know this was bad for your bird but then I told my mom it’s bad for budgies to be alone so we got another bird! Right now, we still have a small cage but it’s bigger from the last one and we have better food for them and I watched your video so they don’t have clipped wings they are usually let out to fly around the living room when I get home from daycare everyday, but sometimes they don’t go back inside. Today I think I have enough money saved up to get them a flight cage, and toys and all that stuff! I would’ve loved to get your kit, but I only have around 200 dollars total, and the kit doesn’t come with a cage so I can’t get it sadly. Hopefully next year I’ll save up enough to get it tho!

UPDATE THEY GOT A FLIGHT CAGE WHICH MY GRANDMA GOT AND THEY HAVE STAINLESS STEEL BOWLS, THEY HAVE HARRISONS PELLETS AND BROCOLI AND SPINACH IM WORKING ON GETTING MORE VARIETY, THEY HAVE A LONG DOWEL PERCHES NEAR THE BOTTOM AND TWO NATURAL PERCHES AND A SWING BUT ITS A DOWEL BUT I AM GOING TO GET THEM MORE STUFF WHENEVER I CAN

I just wanted to say that these Avian Essential Kits are such an awesome idea. I recently got a budgie (like 2 weeks ago) and I was online shopping on Amazon for toys and perches and my cart was filled with like 20 things lol. I was wondering and hoping that there were just boxes of things complete for budgies. So we got the medium bird kit and divided it between 4 cages. We ordered on Feb. 8th and it just came in today, the 10th...SUPER impressed with the swift service and the handwritten note gave it a perfect personal touch! There is SO much stuff and our birds are all loving it. We have an English budgie named Blueberry Muffin, a cocktail named Cappy-chino, and 2 lovebirds...Peaches and Baby...and we will be adding a sun conure named Mochi, as soon as he's ready to leave the breeder! My kids love this channel and I love that I don't have to worry about them watching it...very clean and kid-friendly. My kids all say thank you, Elle!

This is awesome, Elle! What a great job you've done! I'm proud to see how you're growing and making a name for yourself. I wish these kits were out when I first started buying all the things my bird needs, but rest-assured, if you created just a perch box, I would definitely buy it because Monty will eventually need new perches and I love all the natural woods used. I'm also so happy to see how many NATURAL toys you have in your boxes. I have one or two plastic-charmed toys, but I prefer natural woods for safety. You rock, lady!! 🙌🏻💃🏼

You are so helpful. I just got my English budgie on December 10th and you have helped me get the right toys, perches, and food, I've wanted a bird for years, and to have one that has already bonded with me so much is really nice. I got him from a breeder and since they work with the birds before adoption he's already warmed up to me. He's sitting on my shoulder right now lol. But anyway, you helped me change his seed diet to a much healthier one and he's doing great. He's still learning how to set up on command, but as of now, he just steps up onto my hand/arm when I try to walk by his cage.

I agree! I don't have a bird yet but my parents say they want to get me one when some of our circumstances are better (we have a cat right now etc.) And so I'm hoping that when I do get one I can get this kit!!!

@@melaniewilson2643 I have a two cats and one is 19 but she is not the problem, the younger one (who is 6) loves to hunt. The reason I got into birds is because last year , my younger cat injured a baby thrust (I know now that the bird was a female, but at the time I didn’t know so I called her baby bird , as she was only just still a chick.), her wing was broken at the time as well as her leg but I cared for her as well as I could, I had no experience in this area but I tried and stayed outside in my dressing gown caring for this bird for 3 hours, holding and comforting her but my parents told me to go inside, so I tried to make a nest sort of thing, then at five in the morning I woke up to check on baby bird, and she was dead. From then I wanted to make sure I would treat a bird of my own with so much love and care, giving them the best life. But I will have to wait until I move out because, the younger cat has a lot of life left to live.

@@kermit4550 Oh wow I understand how you feel, our cat is still reasonably young and he hunts wild birds and a few times he's caught birds and around half the time they'll live and we try to take careful care of them but almost every time they'll very sadly die. I have a real passion for animals (cliche I know) but I am ESPECIALLY INTERESTED by/in birds and I'd love to have a future caring for them, owning them or having something to do with them in my job. So yes I probably won't have a pet bird anytime soon but I hopefully will someday!

I’m wanting to become a vet when I’m older, currently I’m studying so hard in biology and chemistry (because I know you need those to become a vet) I am a MASSIVE animal lover, I get so sad when my cat hunts down baby rabbits and mice, I will literally fall in love with any animal I see (except from frogs and toads....IM NOT WEIRD I HAVE A PHOBIA) and, in particular I love birds the most, they are so intelligent, beautiful, hilarious and fascinating. I literally get so happy when I see a parrot in real life, I met an Amazon once, and it really liked me and I think I might of taught it to say hi lol, I have done so much research on birds and now, I honestly think I could have one if we didn’t have the cat as I know so much about them, but I have to be patient (which sucks) but there is nothing I can do about it, my mum is sort of on board but my dad definitely isn’t so I do have to wait until I get my own place (and have enough money, stabilise my life and all that).

Yeah this was a really unexpected and pleasant conversation! And yeah I'm not sure I'll be a vet but I'd love to at least volunteer at an animal park or something of the like in the future and I wanna be like that cool mum that comes to their kid's school and shows animals like macaws and stuff. That kind of thing. And I definitely agree, birds are so smart and I love how some can talk and they're so beautiful, I love the feathers (I have chickens and ducks and they're so beautiful, I especially love the ducks). Good luck on becoming a vet too!!! Also one time I got to hold a cockatiel (which kind of sparked my love for them, I'd love to have a cockatiel) and I was OVERJOYED it was the best.

I'm so happy for you Elle! I thought you were getting a Quaker! You should get a Quaker and do a video showing that the kit does come with everything you need and set up it's cage . I am actually soooo happy that you made these toys! The pet stores near me only sell plastic smooth toys that almost always contain mirrors. I whent to a park with a bag and got a bunch of sticks and cleaned them and made perches out of them, I found a guide online of safe and unsafe wood and used it before picking sticks. I made a platform perch and he loves it! To the toy problem, I bought him some plastic balls with bells in them. That wasent enough toys so I made him a bunch and bought some wicker balls and he absolutely loves those. I made some foraging toys filled with crinkle papper. His favorite is the wicker balls, I shove millet and lettuce inside them and he goes crazy. He loves throwing them off of shelves and dressers. Also why I didn't just get toys from planet pleasures is because they only buy things online from amazon.

I got my birds when I was a lot younger and had no clue what I was doing. I'm trying to make things right now and give them an enriched life, your videos have helped a ton!

I roughly did the math and the price for each item in the kits round out to around $8.30 which is an INCREDIBLE price for that many items. I’m getting my bird in February and will almost DEFINITELY be buying a kit. I already loved your channel but you just made a product that could be incredible for all the birds in areas that do not have avian pet stores. Seriously amazing, super happy for you 💙
