The Big Problem Facing Tasmania's New Footy Team

TASMANIA DEVILS
It's official! Tasmania has finally joined the AFL and AFLW with their new team the Tasmania Devils! But there's one big problem that could stop them from ever making it to the field! Yep, after around 30 years of trying to break into the league. Last night we got a glimpse of what Tasmania's first ever AFL club the Devils might look like! The colours and design of the foundation guernsey have been around for more than 100 years but the new name did mean negotiating with Warner Bros over any possible confusion with this guy.
The Devils are set to join the men's comp in 2028 but the AFL says that Hobart needs to build a new stadium by 2029 and if they don't they can push the Devil's entry into the league back. Tasmanian Premier Jeremy Rockliff has committed to the 750 million dollar build, but it's proved controversial. And if there's a change in government after this weekend's election there could be changes to the stadium plans, too. But for now, more than 70,000 new Devil's members are getting behind their new team.
CYCLONE MEGAN
Hundreds of people had to bunker down overnight as Cyclone Megan tore through the Northern Territory. The category 3 storm brought wind gusts of up to 170 kays per hour and a huge downpour of rain. People living in the small town of Borroloola were meant to be evacuated. But poor weather stopped the planes sent to collect them from landing safely and they had to stay put. Thankfully, no one was hurt and the storm didn't do much damage to the town. This morning, Megan was downgraded to a tropical low.
YOUNG KITE SURFER
Ever heard of the sport of wing foiling? Well, this guy is pretty good and he hopes to one day make it to the Olympics. He isn't fazed by crocs, jellyfish or heights. Fynn's 12, he's a kite surfer and wing foiler tearing it up in Darwin. Although he does have to share the water with a few dangerous critters. The sport combines riding a board and holding a wing, kind of a mix of kitesurfing, windsurfing and surfing. And it's growing all the time. It could even be part of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. So, Australian Sailing has set up the "NextGen" foil program. A program Fynn was scouted to join. And hopefully with a bit of help he'll one day wing his way to the Olympics,
NEW BANKSY MURAL
First up to London! Where a big splodge of green paint appeared on this wall overnight. It's the work of world-renowned street artist Banksy and from the right angle it looks like the foliage of this tree in front of it.
MASSIVE BALLET CLASS
Now to Mexico, where hundreds of ballet dancers of all ages are taking part in a massive dance class! Put on by the government in the capital's main square it was free to anyone who wanted to take part. It's the first event of its kind in Mexico City.
STAR WARS COIN
And finally back to the UK where the millennium falcon has been immortalised in this 50p coin. Britain's royal mint has launched a new selection of limited edition Star Wars themed coins which can be used as real money but are almost certainly worth more as collector's items.
