This is just cringy and desperate, this is a family show and there is no need to go this far for attention, to far imo, they should be ordered to tone it down quite a lot. It is a shame because in general this staging is very cool and they can keep it sexy with out turning it into porn

I’m from Spain. I'm reading the comments of English friends on this video and I'm surprised, but in a bad way. What exactly is wrong with Olly's performance and what can a boy or girl interpret if he/she sees it? I think you have to relax!

Why is Slimane not everyone's favorite? He's SO amazing! I find it peculiar.

UK have drew for the first half of the Final so they will performer anywhere from 2nd spot ( Sweden is opening ) and upto 13th spot, which I think they will get given for two reasons. It’s a large staging production so performing 13th will be just before a break and also as a gay couple we find it just slightly too saucy so this will have to go out after 9pm, only way they can is if they perform 10th or later. It’s a good staging but we have to agree with most of the comments it’s just a tad too sexy making it lean into the danger of being tacky. Also some countries with strong views won’t vote for it just because of how close to the line it is. Our prediction at best UK will come mid table we shall see, think most of its points will come from the Jury.

I think sexy is fine, but I think the UK might just have stepped on the line of raunch, which is bit beyond sexy. It's fun, and gives the lyrics a new meaning, but maybe they might tone it down slightly after the reaction. It only needs to be toned down a little bit. At least there's the semi final performance where there's still time to adjust it after reaction. I think UK and Italy overall look awesome (UK just need to adjust it down a bit).

just my personal taste for this year: France (outstanding vocal and nice ballade) > UK (catchy and provocative dance-pop) > Italy (catchy and sensual, performance could have been more memorable) > Sweden (Back Street Boys vibes) > Spain (nice music production and clear message, but weak vocals) > Germany (despite the good vocals, it's a really cheap song and what should the whole fire mean?)

I think with thr UK it is that in 2022, they didn't allow Albania to have a kind of "sexier" staging. And 2 years later they allow the uk to have a more sexy staging than Albania's...

I agree with you. I think Olly’s voice is great, he doesn’t need this overly sexual routine. It takes the focus away from his beautiful voice and the song, in my opinion. Hoping it isn’t like that throughout. xD I have nothing against topless dancers, I just think some of the…movements are too suggestive. 😂 The perfect dance routine for me was Chanel in 2022. It was a classy, slick kind of sexy. Other than that, I think the staging itself is cool, I like the upside-down effect too. I hope he does well.

My take on the big 5 + Sweden : UK : Love the staging , the song is a good song but do I need the sexy positions and the humping? Not really .. Germany : Dark horse and can do better then people think France : 100% jury winner Spain : If the crowd doesn´t give her the sing-a-long .. this will finish last Italy : Love her , love the song .. might a new win? Sweden : M&M are killing it and top 10 for sure ..

It's a shame that Olly's staging reviews everywhere went from Wow, to Woah too much. Personally I have no issues with it and obviously neither do the EBU who've approved it. But if people are offended by it I accept that and it's possibly going to cost him points. I don't think Olly is too concerned about it though, he just wants to have fun and I think it's mission accomplished. It will get talked about and spark curiosity that's for sure, it's a smart move really. Everything else looks very nice but I feel Slimane stepping away from the mic is a gimmick he doesn't need and it sounds a bit tinny when he does that.

I believe most of the people didn't realize from the short snippets seen.of rehersals what's really haopening in UK staging and they praise the "boldness" because of that. I personally don't care for its content however considering Esc is a music show and a family show and 9pm is not that late I can understand why some people are not crazy.for dancers nearly mimicking copulation

It's not a double standard matter it's how much flesh is shown the dancers are moves are quite explicir a bit excessive based on what Ebu usually allowed and nothing as the "sexy" performances usually provided by female acts who have always been classy and acceptable for what is considered a family show standard.

Many Eastern European countries tend to be more conservative, and those votes could easily get lost, if they find it too much. But regardless, well done on the staging! 👌🏾🇬🇧

I'm not sure if you saw my comment in your other video, but do you know why Olly is NOT singing live in his preview video? It's the exact same audio as the CD version. Also, if a TV show starts before the watershed, the entire content is meant to be safe viewing. I dread seeing Spain's 'arsecheek' performance if its anything like the National Final performance!

But am I right that almost all vocals, in almost every entry, are on track, even the lead vocals? The singer from Azerbeiddzjan could be heard singing before he even opened his mouth. AustraliË was totally out of tune untill they could sing along with their own voices on track.

It's bigotry. That's why they suddenly have an issue with the sexiness from a gay guy.

My opinion is that UK is overrated because had the worst vocals performance and Germany is underrated even do he a good song and vocals, but the stadging and costume is missing here. For me, France is a winner alert🎉
