I’m 63 years old and totally don’t understand people my age who say music “back then” was better. Or lament how no good music is made these days. I stumbled across The Beths about 6 months ago and I’m totally in love with this band. Terrific songs, great harmonies, fantastic lyrics (Expert In A Dying Field is one of the best songs I’ve ever heard), and I love the low-fi approach to their videos. The Beths (along with The Linda Lindas) are one of the best bands around today.

Agreed , 47 myself. There is still good music , it’s just NOT on (most) radio. The Beths are probably the “youngest” ban I’ve discovered the past few years. Everything you stated is true. Influences aside, they and their singer especially, sound much different than many groups on the scene today. I love the positive, sometimes a little melancholy atmosphere of their songs.

I could have written this comment, and I'm 60. Love these guys, Wolf Alice, Lucy Dacus, The National, Alvvays, Momma, etc. There's still plenty of good music being made out there; probably more than ever. The problem is that there's also SO MUCH bad music also being produced, so it can really be a chore to wade through it to find new stuff you actually enjoy. I find it helps to have an app like Spotify or something that suggests more songs similar to ones for which you click "like" when they pop up in your algorithm.

If there's any band that puts a smile on my face, it's The Beths. They do something unexplainable by words.

@@amelialikesfrogs5778 Yes. What I care about is that 4 people have come together and share their joy and high level of musicianship with so much of the world. They had like what seems like over 150 performances last year while enjoying the locations and each other's company during that tough schedule. It's rare to see and I am glad they have that and shared some of that joy with us in this music video. And hair doesn't really matter in that equation. They could be bald, alopecia, Skrillex hair, or look like Flock of Seagulls and if they are sharing their music and joy with us, I'd love everything about this band!

This is literally my favourite song on the album. From the very first listen on the day the album released. Way to go, Beths!

I met my best friend in the whole wide world there and we found out we both liked The Beths. We literally started bonding over how cool The Beths were. After vacation i would travel back and forth via buses to come visit her and i feel so lucky to have bumped into her Its now 2024 and this music has changed my fucking life Me and my best friend are so tight and were planning to see The Beths live one day Thank you Elizabeth Stokes and everyone else in The Beths.❤your music led me to finding better people

Ever since I saw The Beth’s live I have wanted to be their best friend. And I’m not the weirdo, my wife is way more obsessed with them than I am 😂 The more of their music we hear and the more we see of them the more we know we are missing out. Alas, should have been born a Kiwi.

I've seen the Beths 3 times in the last 18 months, and just keep loving them more every time. I saw you guys live recently and I don't know if you ever read comments, but this song is beautiful. It evokes difficult memories and feelings in me. I bought a couple shirts and you guys were nice enough to sign one of them after the show. I wish I wasn't so shy as I would've liked to maybe get a selfie afterward but didn't want to bother you guys. Amazing concert. Also, Expert in a dying field gave me chills/goosebumps when you started playing it.
