I love your slingshot projects. It's something different every time ❤️ but I'm curious about the string attached to the bands tho. Do they limit the stretching to conserve its elasticity?

That is to help centering and aiming, like a bicycle extra training-wheels. You don't "need" it if you are good with the sling.

What's the purpose of the white string that was connected to the rubber band?
