This is a great review, but just wanted to add something of note for other viewers regarding the aluminum materials used that you mentioned as 'high-class'. I manage a machine shop and can tell you that 6061-T6 aluminum is one of the most standard grades of all aluminums. It's abundant and cheaper than like aluminums, so there isn't anything of extra value to the material, although it is very cleanly machined (most likely the material was grinded (ground) and polished after machining). This is not a criticism of your review, just wanted others to know any extra $$ going toward these isn't for some high-grade of aluminum being used, but most likely the extra cost of the grinding and polishing for that kind of pristine pre-anodizing finish. Groove wallet has metal mechanism, ekster has plastic so i dont trust ekster to hold up as long. People say Groove feels crazy smooth when using. Also you can have 2 extra slots with case over a money clip. (EKSTER WINS WITH WHAT YOU CAN DO IF YOU LOSE IT. IT HAS GPS AND A MAKE NOISE TO LOOK FOR ACTIVATED WITH THE APP) MY TRAYVAX FITS A TON, IT'S A STRANGE WALLWT BUT I LOVE IT. I SUGGEST LOOK AT DURANGO WALLETS TOO. LOTS OF CHOICES, SERIOUSLY WELL BUILT. THERE'S THE MAIN PART BUT IT'S A MODIFIABLE WALLET SO YOU CAN GO CHEAPER AND ONLY GO WITH NEEDS, NOT WANTS, BUT THEY GO UP TO $250

Can you have the leather back and the money clip on the other side?

Question: do you know what the inside lever mechanism is made of? All these brands pretty much are the same with the casing, which is solid, but most also use plastic for the mechanism - huge breaking point of these types of wallets. Eckster, for example; mine had broke within two months of use.

I’m not sure the exact material, though I can say it’s metallic. Secrid from all the wallets I bought in the past the mechanism I’ve bought is metal as well. Ekster does use a plastic mechanism yes which is too bad - as things tend to break way easier that way. But yes the Groove Lifes mechanism is made of metal (:

Been going back and forth between these two for a while now. I think I'm going to go with the Ekster because it holds more cards. I wish there was an option to have more carrying capacity on the Groove since I love that sliding mechanism. Maybe they'll come out with something like the Ekster Senate where you can put cards between the card slider and the leather portion.

that sounds like a bummer consider the ekster aren't cheap either. when you pay almost 100 bucks for a wallet you expect it to hold up better

Which is more comfortable after being in any pocket for a few hours though?

The shoulder medanisem doesnt jump back on your wallet? Why thos happen? Also it ssema sometime that the cover doesn‘t close compleate all time do i see this correct?

I have 2 trayvax wallets, the plastic one with the rope fits so many cards. Durango i think can hold more. Neither fan or switchblade out I am considering DurNgo, groove life, I r ekster. (Ekster has plastic mechanism, groove has metal so last longer) So anyone have definitive fave and i gotta say, the trayvax is so minimalist yet secure with its clip in lock so no falling or lost cards at all. (The metal trayvax was free, i wouldnt recommend it for travel, the main plastic with chord one is far better for travel, i even had pick pocket fail on me and gave him a nice pop straight to the nose in Barcelona. Cops dont care about small crime but same about them getting hit when caught. Now Ekster isnt as durable as the Groove but Ekster has smart version with noise maker and gps tracking. Makes it really tempting for travel, my #1 reason i went minimalistic as my old folders got so thick. Now i rarely have cash and it's for better. I spend $100s less never having cash on me. (Too much and too many pot stores in puerto rico, I'd go broke carrying cash there as example of why one could overspend)

Ill stick with my Trayvax Contour Wallet The Best investment IMO
