​@@mightyx5441 The earlier Men of War titles are great for learning the most basic of mechanics where the game more or less plays like COH or Dawn of War (both relatively simplistic RTS in design in comparison) Call to Arms and CTA: Gates of Hell added more complex mechanics (inb4 butbutbtubtut... health systems in CTA!!!111) that made it feel more like you had to utilize real world tactics in some scenarios. But still, it's fairly easy to grasp if you just take a quick peek at a guide. Most of it is common sense. You should have men that provide overwatch and covering fire when another element is maneuvering, tanks and/or fire support should be in the back, away from the prying eyes of AT guns and sneaky soldiers with AT grenades, send out scouting teams that are in stealth mode to provide recon and give you edge in intellgience, etc. In my opinion it's way easier to learn than any of the Eugen titles like Wargame or Steel Division. There's just so much memorizing and micromanaging you need in those games and CTA already has plenty micromanaging itself but its nothing in comparison to those games. Plus I like that it provides ample single player and cooperative content for those of us who prefer fighting AI as opposed to no lifes who have studied the game mechanics better than the Pope has the bible and annihilate you with 2 billion IQ strategies making you wonder why they aren't using their skills in the actually military instead.

I love this game so much and it's awesome to see nano play it.

Exatly the same happened to me and 1 mate. Few survived and with those cleared the top with crazy direct control stuff lol

We're planning on starting at Pointe du Hoc and walking the beaches eastward, this coming summer. With any luck, will be there on the 6th.

Not a room to be had anywhere in Normandy itself, so probably Rouen until the 7th, and hope I can get over there through all the traffic on the 6th. On the 7th apparently we can get a hotel in Caen.

Only a few more months to go, is it the 80th anniversary this year, I guess it is, most likely there won't be any vets there that actually participated the youngest would be about 98 years old. God bless those who stand against tyranny in all it's forms.

Honestly, game is pretty good, need more polishing though, but overall a pretty good game in my opinion. Btw, love that movie-esque scene with the panzer 4 and the soldier with the bazooka.(I forgor what the AT weapon the dude used.)

Hey super Nano, can you try Isonzo once again? I think there where some major updates since you played it the last time and I'm currently playing it myself and its huge fun, also because there are some new maps too. Would love to see you playin it again.

Average Men-Of-War-Esque experience: Spending 20 extra minutes to repair whatever armor or artillery you can purely to survive the last objective because all the other ones chewed up your good units and you've been left with a medic, two tank crewmen, and a flamethrower who's out of fuel.

There is, but it's battle co-op only. The host player controls how all the points are spent. I usually stream my discord when I play it with my buddies so they can see what we've got available and basically take a vote for tech.

your doctrine picks for the campaign missions decides what assets you get. IE the 2nd German mission you have 1 scout car, 1 light tank, 1 halftrack but your 4th thing depends on if you're offensive/defensive/irregular. So you get a 37mm flak bus, flak halftrack, or flamethrower halftrack.
