The BEST Winter River Crappie Fishing with Todd Huckabee

Спорт

Many crappie anglers halt their fishing during the winter months but focusing efforts on sunken timber can be incredibly productive on rivers. Professional crappie angler Todd Huckabee shares his system for finding and catching crappies relating to trees using jigs and plastics in conjunction with Garmin LiveScope.
Huckabee hits on a range of topics from boat positioning to reduce spooking, how the biggest and most aggressive crappies position in river timber, and his preferred rod, reel, and line setup for extracting big specks. Not getting bit with an active jigging approach? Huckabee explains how less lure movement produces better catch rates during the cold-water months.

Too many youtube videos have titles that imply tips for catching only to never offer any tips. Your videos truly offer valuable tips and insight into why and how. Keep up the good work.

Ditto Brian! Best crappie video I've seen in a long time that gave "detailed" insight on where, why and how to catch them. Not just the ordinary... Hey look at me catch fish vid! Bet you wish you could! Or having them show you how to tie a double jig rig and/or LOOP not....Seen way too many of those! TSM! Keep them coming, and God Bless!

@@Reezystp half of these anglers on KZread wouldn't know how to fish if the had to do it the way my uncle's and the older people done it. I still fish like that I wouldn't own livescope unless I was a fishing guide it. And I've even seen tournaments that let them use it. It's just not like it used to be that's for sure
