I jumped the gun last year after starting 2-0, thinking I was good. Traded my 2024 1st. My team died, and I ended up 10th place. Would've had the 3rd this year.

Almost same exact thing for me. I was 3-0 but hit terrible luck and my first became 1.04. Tanking team got Marv, Caleb and then Daniels with my pick and now his team looks deadly 🤦‍♂️

did this same thing 2 days before week 1. sent my 24 1 for dobbins (it was my first year in dynasty) now the most loaded roster in my league ended up with my 1.03 and took nabers. smh

Traded Maye and 25 first for Bijan and Diontae Johnson. Have Josh Allen and Kyler to start, with Bryce Young as backup. Needed a high end RB and flex depth to be really confident in contending.

Already have 5 firsts for next year - so much flexibility. If my young team is over performing I can flip those for basically two elite players

I only move 1sts early if acquiring young top-tier assets. For example, i sold my 2023 1.05 and 2024 1st for Chase while otc last year. I also traded for Garret Wilson and Joe Mixon with a package that included 2024 1st early in 2023 season. I try to avoid trading for older assets with 1sts even mid season.

Started off the season hot, ended the season with the most points scored in the league and was 2nd to last. League medians need to be a thing. I also did trade my 1st for this years rookie draft.

Every league I run has an extra matchup against the league median every week. It's a great way to reduce randomness; I give it a thumbs up.

Just traded 2.05, 25 1st, 2025 2nd for Tyreek Hill, Dmonty, and James Connor. Current roster: 1 QB 10 Team PPR Burrow Saquon Kyren Hill Lamb Kincaid Chase Nacua Won the ship last year and I’m going to continue my push. Also got Amari cooper and Cooper Kupp on the bench.

@@tylee5048 collusion is pushing it. The guy is desperately trying to rebuild and wasn’t getting any offers. Definitely won the trade, but given the context of his team he took what he could get.

Called my shot early last month before the draft and traded away my 25 1st. The need for my team was clear and obvious and not to get ahead of myself but I felt like I have a fairly good opportunity to compete this year with Bijan, Etienne, Monty, Mostert, Lamb, Amon Ra, Aiyuk, D.Smith, J.Reed, Kittle, Engram etc. It's a 1qb league so I've never invested strongly into the position. I had guys like Cousins, D.Jones, Geno, etc. So I traded my likely late 25 1st and Cousins for Kyler and the 3.04 (which later became J.Wright to pair with Mostert). Felt like it was a worthwhile move to make back before MHJ arrived in AZ and so far it's panned out well

My best go is finding the biggest ego and trading 1sts with them 😍😢

I’ve got a competing roster not deep but good hammers I need a QB1 should I trade my 25 & 26 1sts for A Rich? I have Stafford, Carr, and Nix at qb currently.

And both of my dynasty leagues, I have developed a patient strategy. My veterans I try to trade out of. Keenan Allen for a first and E. Moore. Some people don’t understand the value of that pick, and the longevity a franchise requires

I traded Pacheco for a 25 1st from a really good team. Used that and my own 1st plus Kelce for Anthony Richardson. I won the chip last year with JF1, Cousins and Carr. Didn’t see that happening again with that group of bozos

I’m considering trading Lawerence + ‘25 1st for Lamar Jackson.. I have a pretty strong team but feel like I need a difference maker at QB1. Dak would be my qb2 in SF

Someone in my league last year paid Pittman and 2 2nds for Achane. I laughed. And he likes to roast other people's (very reasonable) trades 😂

I'm rebuilding in a 10 team 1QB PPR, TEP, no SF.. I have CMC and am looking to trade him... Do you think his value is greater now or would it be greater come closer to trade deadline? (Assuming he is healthy of course)

Definitely not now, older vets like CMC get no respect this time of year. The best time for trading him will likely be right when the season kicks off, when everyone gets those neat weekly point projections next to their names and CMC is projecting at like 23 points on the week, like 5 points higher than any other RB and some manager with dashed expectations in their less than solid starting RB's is tilted and getting desperate to patch that hole on their roster before they lose too many games. Or if an early injury strikes. Just look for early season opportunities. That's when future picks are least valued and easiest to attain bc everyone believes their team will be the best team. Waiting until the deadline wouldn't be necessary imo

Traded my first and a speculative player arsb for Ridley and then the dude quits football for half a year and then get suspended for gambling. Wait till mid year for sure.

So what if for example I can move Addison and my 2025 1st for Marv or Puka? is that worth it or should I just hold on to that first?

I would probably move that for MHJ... hard to predict where your 25 1st will land based on variance, but MHJ will be a 1A on his team and you could make the case that Addison is clearly the 2A/B with Hock when healthy

This one was too real lol had AR + burrow on a very good team. Traded 24 1st for Burks + Bateman In preseason. Boom burrow calf injury and the rest is history. My 1st ended up being 1.05 💀

I mean AR was a rookie last year - that does not make a solid fantasy producer, just an amazing dynasty value- that hurts. Plus the players. You got back both 😅

Oof not great tbh - unless you are full rebuilding but why rid yourself of a first round WR. But A second on top is not horrible
