Mariela Feliz If all you bring is the idea and not the execution then yes, it's likely not worth much unless you get the patent on it. Why would they pay you millions of dollars if they don't have to?

Will the patent I filled in my own country still be valid enough for me to sue that person from another country? I just recently started waqtching your videos and you really have motivated me to execute my plans. I have a patent for a fly trap and I basically am going with your first technique. I'm reaching out to companies such as Johnson & Son, AP&G, Scotts Company, and others in hopes that i can sell this patent or even create a partnership. Moreover, i have a prototype of my patent with flies stacked up HIGH, HUNDREDS OF THEM piled on top of each other which provides evidence it works. I have videos and pictures to include when i show to these companies when i contact them. I also plan on creating an ebay account and start "creating my own momentum". But i really just wanted to say thankyou, these videos are a big help and inspiration and any additional advice you have would be greatly appreciated or even connections you may have that you dont mind sharing with me. I really appreciate it.

Hi Evan, I came up with this amazing idea that I believe would change the way we take pictures today, with pictures being one of the main keys to social networking I think that my invention would be a great success! The materials needed for it are not expensive but to have someone build a prototype will cost way more than I can afford. So I have a small, and I mean small company, consisting of me and one other person. We've been working on this huge story universe, involving TV series, and video games. Say we grew in size a bit, and had a lot of the story written out. How could I get partnered with a company like Microsoft? I really think my creation could help them out a lot. I enjoyed your video. My Idea,,, We cannot change a culture/attitude in any business. So we need some mechanism/system that will allow us to override their habits. My system will be the articulation of an intuitive process (universal in its language) that will address and cover such issues as time management, accountability, health and safety, resourcing and financial efficiency. I can prove that it will work. Can you help Evan??

I have 2 big ideas for the same company and I can execute them, my issue IS that after a couple of years, they can take the whole operation in house, so How can I get a percentage of the operation or should I just be content that i got paid for a couple of years?

My idea is to bring a service to shopping malls, free to all mall shoppers. Very beneficial to all retailers inside the mall, but hugely challenging getting them to pay for it. I am attempting to approach particular Mall leasing groups in the hope they will love the idea and pay for the service. However they specify that they do not accept artwork which is all I have. I've even tried the the ruling body of the team but I haven't gotten a yes which is really a no. Idk I just feel that getting the attention of the right person is key. Any input would be great. thanks!

Okay for example. John is the dealer for xxxxxx company and he have an idea (for that company that can benifit them) and is very relevant but he don't want that idea to just simply slide off from his fingers means he want to protect his idea because he's afraid they might just say "ooo well that's a good idea" and use that idea as they will without even talking to him again. Hi Even, I have an idea for a large clothing company, Nike. It is not a particular product but more of a marketing decision to extend their brand into an untapped segment. A segment in which their direct competitors are beginning to get involved in. I myself have owned a small clothing company and have learned a lot about the trade and consumer demands in this particular "segment". I also have a Business Management degree and work experience to help me qualify. I am essentially asking for a job from Nike to lead them into this new market. I have tried multiple channels to get my idea across included reaching out to sponsored athletes, schools, employees, etc. I am having a tough time getting to the right person that can give me a definitive answer on my idea. +Derek Monk If I were trying to get a job at Nike I'd try as hard as I could to get on their radar. Their CMO is speaking at an event? I'm there. They're doing recruitment on campus? I'm there. They have a new job or internship opening? I'm there. I'd also look for a low risk way in and let them recognize your talent. The easiest way to move up is to do your current job really well. Good information, Evan, thank you for sharing. But I am curious as to the process of presenting the Idea to the company. I have a working prototype. How do I protect the idea? I hear Patenting costs around $5,000, and I simply do not have or want to risk that investment for something if it isn't bought out by a company. Do I hire a Lawyer at this point? Thanks. Corey

Good video overall - as an individual with many ideas it's a bit of reality check, however I do have an idea for a specific product line expansion that could reap the company multi-millions, yes they may have thought of it already but how do you flush that out in a meeting post NDA and what kind of NDA best protects disclosing said product to the company (mid-sized but positioned for growth in their market) should I first seek a lawyer? I have large company job history and have led meetings between big partnerships but never as an individual trying to pitch them a product for them essentially. Yes I could offer production directing of the said line but I would think the idea might justify a up front payment and a small back end royalty if launched, meets certain goals of profits etc. Thoughts?

What if I have a software idea, what is the best way to go about that

File a "Provisional Patent Application (PPA)" It gives you "perceived ownership" and will put you in "Patten Pending" status for up to 12 months. In this time you can bring your idea to companies for licensing deals while legally protecting yourself and your Intellectual Property (IP). In the U.S. the person who is "first to file" not "first to market" gets the rights to that product or idea. It's $65 and it's a complete game changer! If I may recommend a book that has changed my life and countless others, "One Simple Idea" by Stephen Key.

Hey Evan, I have what could be something really cool in the intellectual property realm. I believe in my stuff and that people are overwhelmingly attracted to my notions. I have not seen my idea implemented yet but believe it's only a matter of time. However I am not a tech savy person. So I wait until someone does it or try for it myself what would you suggest. This idea is akin to the computer mouse in that the person who thought of it never profited from his idea. I don't want to be that guy.

What does it take to run or start a social media enterprise like twitter, etc.

Hello! Here's my question: I have a brilliant idea that could score a big company as you mentioned "google" a large amount of money in time up to several bilions yet i do not have the capital to start off my idea but a well-funded organization/company could easily start it off. How do i present them my idea and sell it to them since for me it would become a rather win-win situation since i'm fine with them getting 90% for all the main work and me 10% with which i'd be very satisfied. So how?

Hello sir, am new at this so I don't know really where to begin but I got this new idea or invention right.. the thing is idk who I can talk to so it can be protected and do you need a lots of money to get ur idea patent? Or is there's loan or something yuh can used to get it out there and started? Please get back at me
