The Best way to rig a dropshot for bass! The dropshot rig is an excellent way to catch a ton of bass in any conditions or cover! However, If you rig a dropshot like this you will be catching even more bass in some heavier cover where the fish can be more pressured. Dropshot bass fishing is something that I catch more fish on each year than any other bait so utilizing the dropshot rig in this way allows me to keep catching even more bass.

Q-I like your setup. You mentioned the “no shake” technique as it looks unnatural. It’s the opposite way the Japanese anglers fish it. I agree with you. There’s enough movement on the worm to make it dance. Be well my friend

1/4 ounce weight in 8-10 foot!
What knot do you use on your hook? And length of line from hook to weight? Thanks for the vid.

When it comes to the length of line between the hook and wait you can customize this until you find out what the fish want. I started experimenting this year with a distance of 3 feet between hook and weight. I know that sounds crazy but when you put the weight on slide it through The wire and make the leader as long as you want and leave the tag end of the line exposed don’t cut it off. Now you can adjust upward down until you find out what the fish ones. This is taken a lot of guess work out of Fishing a drop shot. Hope this helps

It usually doesn’t start until the water temp starts to drop to the point the colder water is on the surface!
