The Best Way To Get Fit For The British Army

Спорт

In this The Best Way To Get Fit For The British Army video, I give advice on the most efficient way to get fit for the army.
I do get a lot of questions about it and hopefully this video will explain everything. If not just leave your questions in the comments section and I always try and get back to them all.

I have the assessment day beginning of August currently doing strength training 4 times a week as well as this I’m doing 3 cardio sessions a week which include interval training 5 min warm up (jog) 30 second sprint and 30 second walk for 10 sets then I will also do a 10k run and I will go on a bike machine for an hour trying to slowly increase my distance and the intensity on that also then occasionally will throw in a 2km best effort obviously I do these cardio sessions on separate days to allow my body time to recover but still feel I’m not doing enough 🤣🤣 I think it’s jus me getting in my own head tho pretty sure I should smash it 💪🏼

The beep test caught me out at selection as I'd only practised the 2km (best effort was a 8.53), got a 9.2 I think on it though, not the best but enough to pass what I needed comfortably haha 😅 Have you done a video on shaping a beret? That would be helpful for a lot of us new recruits I'm sure mate haha 😄

@@Pubg_Abbas_T61a5 cheers mate, I did mine with a lad who maxed out the beep test lol so my effort didn't seem that great but tbf he was a re-enlister. I went reme though so the requirement was likely much lower than infantry but I can't remember now. I think I had to do a 10:30 2km and I can smash that though lol 😆

@MilitaryFitness Very true. To touch on that actually, what would you say is the better diet to help with cardio workouts? I tend to hike and jog alot and do like to use boots and a heavier pack as I've found it helps with endurance. However I do want to do better and if you say diet, diet it is. I am thinking what with Europe how it is, I'd like to get fitter now and get a head start. Am thinking the Reserves would be a good shout and when needed can step in and bypass waiting for call-ups and such. Long as I'm not sent to the RAF, will be content 😅

The beeo test is different in that you have to keep pushing harder and harder the 2km run is about consistency. Personally I found the beep test harder than a 2km run...

so last year i was going on 9-12+ hikes and i took diazepam to help with muscle cramps, i decided to do a 7 day water only fast (autophagy) after a few months of doing hiking as id read the benefits of doing a strict water fast. on day 5/6 (i had only drank water and nothing to eat, did not sleep either at all) i began to feel (from full of energy) to weak and my muscles seized up, i took a diazepam and what not to break the fast and i had a seizure. would this be treated as provoked and assessed individually ? thanks in advance - tried to keep as short as possible

The basic test is very simple, if you're going for a trade that needs the TST then it's the GCSE stuff you need to know. I had to go online and revise as its be a while since I did my gcse's lol You'll be fine mate just keep on top of your skills and relax when you're in there. I thought I'd done shit because I was literally the last one to finish my TST and iirc I got 45 put of 50 correct lol
