Hey Arthur, I recently purchased the Viltrox 20mm f2.8 for travel and general day to day photography. I’ve found the image and build quality to be excellent value for the money. Its compact size, light weight and focal length are an ideal and well balanced combination on my a6400.

Just got mine in the mail yesterday. Can't wait to use it this weekend.

Personally I think if someone is looking for a budget wide, spending an additional $50 for the Tamron 20mm f/2.8 is a better buy. Used you can find them for $150. You get weather sealed construction, similar optical performance, a 67mm filter thread that matches most of Tamron’s lineup, and decent build quality. But honestly having the weather sealing alone is worth it. It’s cool to see these budget AF lenses coming out though!!

Not here in Australia! The viltroz is $200 and the Tamron is $400

Hope you get the Viltrox 27 for Sony E soon! Really want to see some reviews for it so I can order with confidence when it finally releases

I’m very in doubt because the F1.8 costs 350€ and the F2.8 costs 100€ here in China… I was looking for a selfie lens, but the quality of the F2.8 seems so bad

Their 13 mm is truly amazing. But when my other Viltrox failed after only two months, the company ignored my pleas to recognize the warranty. Buyer beware.

their "warranty" is just a gimmick. They probably don't accept most buyer warranty claim

I picked up a used one a few days ago. It is sharp and compact. For less than $120, what's not lo love! I love what Viltrox is doing for the E-mount.

Have you tried the Tamron 20mm 2.8? Would love a comparison between the two.

agree and bought it first in Greece.For 2924 we re going to see third party companies like this and laowa ,samyang,meike etc to overcome tamron,sigma in every direction.last year we bought 13mm f1.4 and it is worked at all scenarios scored about 90% (ohoto,video,all seasons)and is by far the best lens for aps c sony.

Expecting your review on the new Viltrox 27mm f1.2

I was looking for a used one, but there aren't many of them so far. I found an extension for my 28 f2.0 converter that makes it 21 f2.8. I'm shocked how well it works :) I got it in perfect condition for $80

TTArtisan and Viltrox AF primes that under $200 are selling extremely well this holidays

getting this for my Nikon Z cameras when it comes to Z a few months

How does it perform on aps-c?

Can you comment on how this works on Sony a6000 with PDAF

have spotted a sigma 19mm f 2.8 can be purchased for a very similar price. however viltrox is also an interesting choice, for the price. Thank's for the video and inspiration!

That’s is an apc-s lens I believe. This one is full frame.

I'd get this if i didn't get the sigma 30mm contemporary bit im pretty satisfied. I can't remember the last time i took it off

It is good on sony A6400?

What about getting Sony's own APS-C 20mm 2.8? It's a lot smaller than this one and can be found for about the same price used.

Do you think this will be good for streaming Content?

I would have liked to see how it behaves on APSC. I’m thinking about getting one of this for apsc just because it’s a cheap and decent option

I'm interested too on APSC. It's a 30mm equivalent, very interesting for street photography.

Just get a true lens for apsc its going to be cheaper, faster smaller and lighter

Yeah, Sony's own 20mm 2.8 designed for APS-C is absolutely tiny and can be found for about the same price used.

How does it compare against Samyang 18mm?

This lens is a great budget option to throw in the back with little investment (or risk)!

I dont believe ive tested the samyang, but the viltrox is designed for APSC and is exceptionally sharp. Better than even the Sigma 56mm in many ways.

Cool, price is amazing. Even though I got my sony 20 1.8 used for $450 still the price of this lens is better.

逆光は弱いレンズですね。オレンジ色のハレーションはviltroxの定番なのかな。しかしとてもリーズナブルな20mmですね⁉︎ cafe vlog専用レンズとして検討します。情報ありがとう👍
