Hahaha 😅 I was just thinking that. $22 a ticket and $30 for snacks. No thanks. I remember waay back in 1975 my brothers and sisters took me to see Jaws and another movie at the Drive-In. The ticket price was .75 or something. And in 1980 the ticket price for The Empire Strikes Back was $1.25 at USCs University Village movie Theater and Arcade.

I think A Quiet Place - Day One will flop big time..

The whole Quiet Place concept of aliens riding through interstellar space (slowly on a drifting meteorite - so tens to hundreds of thousands of years at least) and surviving re-entry alive is so ridiculous. But - suspension of disbelief I guess.

I agree. We have all these movies about aliens killing humans when in fact aliens would colonize the world the same way as the British colonized India. They would work with human governments to recruit workers for their purpose. I think a movie predicated on this scenario could be more entertaining than the alien shoot-n-up movies.

I would think that movies are getting better ad technology and attitudes toward media improve. The first movie and Omnia, both look very interesting.

Not been to the cinema for years. Everything is only worth watching on TV at home these days.

Nope. Not a single one. In hard times, we need to be uplifted, these are all so dark and fear based.

'The Expectation Gene' should be included, too. Recently watched the trailer, it's literally sooo beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. Can't wait to watch the full movie, but no details of screenings yet.

Over the past 10 years now all movie trailers have this stupid, loud thumping Bass sound on each scene switch. This sound is never in the movies. And the movie is never successful in Theaters.

A Quiet Place: Get My Kitty Outta this City

As a whole I'm sick with constant violence, overwhelming gallons of blood dis functional families. Enough. How about good scripts, good acting, good directing. There's no more imagination in these films. Sick of Prequels, sick of Sequels. Go back to literature. Lovecraft, King, Koonce, Bradbury. If u have, want to do a remake forget Lord of the Rings. Remake solid stories that were basticized in film Like Straub's Ghost Story or Lovecraft's The Dunwich Horror. If u want carnage bring back Gorgo but make mamma really big and really bad. How about an anthology on Bradbury's Dinosaur Tales. The Fog Horn alone, done right would be worth the price of admission. Forget Salem's Lot concentrate on One for the Road., the semi sequel. A quick 90 minute action pack scare fare. Remember a comic book called Magnus, Robot Fighter. How about D.C.s War series like Sgt Rock, The Haunted Tank. Remember Star Spangled War Stories where the army battled dinosaurs. C'mon guys let's get together and make good films again.
