Same. Love Wendigo lore. One of my favorite horror movies, Ravenous, is based off of Wendigo, and it's great and has my favorite film score (co-written by Damon Albarn from Blur and The Gorillaz). Really, really pumped for this.

That's like saying that Friday The 13th doesn't have any sequels based on the fact that Jason's mother was the killer in the first one and every other one featured Jason as a supernatural monster. And Halloween 3: Season of The Witch isn't a sequel because it doesn't have Michael Myers in it.... So basically what OP said boils down to something like them watching Star Wars: The Force Awakens, sees a lightsaber, and says, "Star Wars called, they want their lightsabers back". It's nonsensical

The art of good horror is gone. These directors are too reliant on old worn out tactics. Before, there had to be a good story, great lighting, pacing, tension, atmosphere. The kind of stuff that would make the experience psychologically uncomfortable. There are a few recent ones like Hereditary and Midsomer that were unnerving but generally this genre is really anodyne now.

Oh so they completely changed The Boy, suggesting it was always the doll that affected the children and it’s supernatural They got idea from Robert the doll owned by Robert Eugene Otto, plus Annabel etc Who is the original scary doll in movies, Chucky lol 😂

Antlers is the ONLY movie I care about!! Can’t wait!!! The short story it’s based on is freakin unreal scary!

A quiet place 2 looks awesome

I thought the last one with Amy Adams looked interesting but I feel like that concept has been done before? That's not new though as just about everything is a remake or re-imagining of something from before.

Spirits, slashers, spirits, slashers... sigh... I can't stand that anymore... So repetitive, so dull, so predictable... Maybe there'll be a good surprise among these, but I won't know, 'cause I won't watch any of these, with the exception of Antlers. Looks to me that a good old monster movie is what still remains fresh in horror movies these days.

Let's hope they won't ruin the idea with this sequel. Given the lack of ambition and the adverse risk-taking mentality that most movie makers exhibit these days, I still have my doubts...

@@jdog7797 Absolutely. I also loved "The Ritual". Every bit of it. It was a simple movie, with some good characters development, and a suggested, rather than exhibited threat that was all the more effective for not being shown. The setting in the woods was top notch. "Late Phases" was kind of an oddball. Good photography, excellent character, an effective narration: the only drawback, in my view, was the actual look of the monsters. A little more werewolf-like, just like in the "Bad Moon" werewolf movie of 1990s fame, would have corrected this "flaw" (suggestive, of course...) efficiently.

as a person who actually really enjoyed ''the boy'' i am soo hyped to see the sequel..

no it wouldn't, a suppressor on an ar-15 only reduces the sound by 30 or so decibels, so even with a suppressor you are still looking at around 100-130 decibels, which is way louder than a person screaming
