I have 2019 F150 Lariat that i want to put those mirrors on thanks for your time and info by the way your Truck looks Super Sweet now all you need is one of those new style 12" touch screen center radio's again Sweet Ass ride Bro..

Man that looks really nice but there has to be an easier way to do this maybe getting power from the live wire on the switch for the windows or something. Anyhow good video and the final result is very nice and clean 👍🏻

Mirrors looks great, will probably do similar in the future. One minor thing that bugged me though is the black rubber pieces for the wiring boots are called “grommets” not garments lol. Not trying to be a dick, just trying to help you out. Great video

I just found this video. The truck looks great man! What’s your wheel/tire/lift setup?

Could you show a close up or tell me which port the separate blue wire for the running/switchback lights in the harness goes into the 22 pin connector? I have the boost ones with the turn signals only. It came with the same harness minus the blue wire. I see boost sells the harness with the blue wire for $90. I'm just curious if I could power the pin on my harness to see if I could get running lights before buying the $90 harness kit.

On my 2017 F150 xlt the mirror defrost is on the same switch as the rear window defrost. But maybe you’ve already figured that out. Nice looking truck.

That makes sense however That adapter does not provide any wire connection to the truck other than the running light on the mirror. You would need to pin the plug at the mirror, run wire to the door harness, pin the door side and pin the truck side, then run a wire to _______(not sure where to pick up the defrost)_______. Huge amount of work for such a little benefit....

Very very detailed blow-by-blow description. Please take this to be constructive criticism...if you are going to produce instructional videos limit the amount of unnecessary babbling and repeating yourself. Also...if there is outside distractions, such as a leaf blower, just stop videoing until it’s gone. We can’t hear what you are saying. Other than that...good job. I’m going to get these mirrors for my 2018 F150 and will use your vid as a go-by.

Does the glass shake when going over 40mph? I heard the cheaper ones on eBay do. Just wanted to know before I order these. Thanks.

I got some off ebay for $200 and thinking for now I'll just run them with turn signals only until actually have time/ or feel like doing all this crap!

I didn't go through the comments, but the defroster on the mirrors come on when you turn on the rear window defroster. I find it strange that Ford didn't put a dedicated button in for the mirror defrost.

It’s easier if you insert the connector inside the grumete before inserting the connector inside the hole

I’m a little late to this video, but did you get puddle lights with these mirrors? If so, I was curious how you got them to work if your factory mirrors didn’t come with them

Looks good. I'm looking to get these for my 2020 xlt f150 and I am in the same boat as you. I don't have heated mirrors, did the heated mirrors actually work or not with out the button?

Yes I found that they do work. When you turn on the defrost for the windshield then it turns on the heated glass on the mirrors as well!

Yes. No extra wire you that you have to run for just the blinkers.

Just use the pc of rubber gasket from the factory mirrors that is used to prevent this & water intrusion on your rebranded Chinese lights from boost.

From what I know then they don’t, but I also only have a STX and it has the 8 pin wiring harness. Neither of those options came with my truck. So I’m not exactly sure if the mirrors with the 21 wiring pin harness have them or not, I don’t think they do, but I’m not for sure about it.

Did you get the version with paintable caps? I have an Ignot silver STX and about to get these. Kind of wait to paint the caps down the road silver but don’t want them to look off compared to rest of mirror if I decide not to paint.

@@jvz1448 Yes. The paintable caps come in the box not connected to the mirrors and they’re a white color, not black to match the rest of the mirror.

I think that truck is an XLT, so the temp sensor is actually located behind the front bumper, driver's side.

You’ll only need to run the extra wire if you choose the switchback option. The signal and heat still work without the extra wire, those are both controlled by the wiring harness right next to the mirror.

yeah i just got mine today & i kinda do not feel like doing all that just for some switchbacks 🙄😂

if you had pulled the speaker out you could i reached the boot way better

Motion sickness, too much camera movement

Did both of mine in a Half hour. They are very easy. Mine are heated Do a turn saying no running light led's and pottle Lights. Auto adjustment and manual Pull out in manual fold in. I smashed one of mine and had to replace them. Very easy a two-year-old could do it. This guy is gonna take 2 days to do it that's pretty pathetic.

Mark Shock Mine have the running lights and running that blue wire down through the door panel and through all the boots is what took the longest. If I didn’t have the running light option it would’ve taken 30 minutes to do both sides.

Boost is a huge ripoff. That sticker literally costed you hundreds of dollars
