I just started using the Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Toner a few days ago and I can't believe how hydrating one simple, innocuous little toner is! I was previously using 2-3 other products/serums in each routine to help hydrate my skin, but this toner easily provides equal or even superior hydration. It does have that typical Haruharu scent (which I actually really like) so it may not be the best for super-sensitive skin, but it's a wonderful product and I'm kicking myself for not using it sooner.

I'm addicted to toners and essences, that's where i put all my money along with sunscreens, i have way too many in rotations, i usually use 2 toners and an essence or 2 layers of watery toner and after a heavier toner; my most repurchased and my ride or die are benton high content snail skin, etude house soon jung toner and primera miracle seed essence (i know it's been reformulated), i also love for sensitive skin the keep cool (i know unpopular opinion) and anua heartleaf toner

Pyunkang Yul mist, Haruharu Wonder Rice, SubQ mist, DermaE Hydrating mist, Heritage Rosewater and Glycerin, Innistree Green Tea extract, TonyMoly Ceramide toner. This is maybe a silly question, but I see so much lately about essence and it's hydrating properties. I had never even heard of essence until the last year! I don't really see "essense" in the stores, I do see like Rose water sprays or various things like that, is that an essence? Is rose water good for the skin? It feels good but not sure of the benefits! I think a good hydrating essence would be so good on days I do acids or retinols and get a little red or dry.

Rob, you are a MIND READER~ I was just searching on Google for "hydrating" toners. I have discovered that since I use a non-foaming cleanser, I feel like I need one more step after cleansing to remove skin build up that's not an AHA/BHA. The SubQ mist works for hydration but not as that last step in cleansing I'm looking for. Years ago I used an alcohol free toner, so I think I will be trying this! The Face Theory toner has peaked my interest😊 PS I was also considering trying to find the MOST gentle physical exfoliator. Maybe that would make a good video???? Sending you lots of love, Patti xxx

Sorry to announce this but FAB changed the formula and now there's essential oil instead of extracts in some of their products. Took out some good stuff in them apparently, including the toner.

I really like the Hylamide SubQ Mist but it sometimes burnt my skin. It really hurt bad then. I don't understand it. ☹ I stopped using it for now and still have a back up.

I use the rice toner from I'm from. It's been great for helping to brighten/hydrate my skin. The toner from the face theory sounds great though as I do have red/reactive/sensitive skin. It would be great to have your thoughts on comparing the face theory with I'm from to see what you think and whether it's worth the swap!

Seems to me like a needless step in skincare routine. Paula’s Choice sent me their Redness Calming one with licorice root for free so I tried it & it’s done nothing for me.

It's somewhat widely accepted that toners are totally optional. It's a nice way to prep the skin or to get an extra dose of an active, but it's not needed by everyone. Like most things, if it works for you, great. If not, no need to worry about it. I think it's great that you've listened to your skin and realized that something just isn't for you. ✌️
