When I arrive and am walking down the beach, I always ask fellow fishermen, "How's the action"? They say, "You shoulda been here last week. A guy caught a 48-inch Striper."

Late 80s early 90s my friends and I would go out on float tubes, 30 or 40 yards offshore, 20-30 ft deep, and fish for perch in Santa Barbara fairly often. We were poor so it was a great way to feed ourselves.

Wow! What a slab! It's amazing how your camera deals with "dark light" conditions! It looked like you were fishing at mid-day. Good tips about importance of fishing for and catching bait at a different time/tide than for fishing for your catch. It's at least a 6 hour venture. The bonus of using sand crabs for bait you may be a likely to catch a striper as a perch. Nice video.
