I’m near the end of content review, but I’m still not scoring proficient. How should I move forward?

Thanks for the very informative video!! I have a dilemma- my bachelor’s degree will end up taking 5 years to complete instead of 4 years, because it took me an extra long time to realize that medicine is what I want to do. Now my dilemma is that I have to take general chem (1 full school year), organic chem (1 full school year), leaving biochemistry in question, meaning that I will not be able to take biochemistry before taking the MCAT if I want to apply to med school without a gap year. I really want to avoid taking a gap year, although I understand that it could be beneficial for many reasons. I have heard that people who have tried taking MCAT before biochemistry and also took it after the class didn’t improve all that much. Do you think if I start studying little by little early enough I can somehow make up for not taking biochem before the MCAT? (If I plan to test in May of 2026, I’d be taking Organic Chem 2 at that point.) I have looked into summer options to get my chems done faster, and it looks like that won’t be an option. The other thing I’m thinking about is trying to get permission to take biochem and organic chem 2 at the same time, but I’m not sure if I will be allowed, and I’m not sure how great that will be if I’m also studying for the MCAT at the same time.

This is almost exactly the same route I'm having to go down. Except I already have my bachelor's and I'm making a career swap into this. I have the same pre requisite courses to take as well. You absolutely can take bio Chem and o Chem at the same time. So I wouldn't worry about that. Testing in May would probably be the best option for us imo

Do you think 2 months full time study is adequate to score above 510 or above?

Shouldnt it be April instead of may because it takes a month to get the score back in time to submit apps when they open?

Essentially you just want to have your test taken before you click submit. It takes 1 month to grade your exam but also 1 month to verify your application so if you test in May and submit in May then your test will be graded by the time your application gets reviewed
