    When a player selects a racquet they have to put their ego aside and think about which racquet will complement and help their game. This is really challenging because so many players don’t know what they don’t know as the saying goes. I love Harry’s 3-5/recommendations because they would probably help the type of player ( weekend warriors) overcome deficits in their game. I frequently tell players that I coach to play within them selves. A player who recognizes their actual skill ability and limitations will follow Harry’s recommendations. All the other players will buy the same racquet that they see their favorite pro play with even though they lack the skill to play with a pro level frame.

    It’s a frying pan collection. I think those 105, 107, 108 rackets are for senior citizens who have no backswing and just punch the ball. Gives easy free power and is light and maneuverable. Anyone who has any form will have very little control with such giant frames.

    Hi, I am a new subscriber of your channel from Hong Kong. I have a quick question: if I buy a Wilson Clash 100 from a pro shop, how can I tell if i get the latest version (i.e., manufactured in this year 2021) or an old one manufactured say a few years ago? Does Wilson put the manufacturing date on their rackets?

    Hi.Here is the info to make an Andy Roddick racquet or the closest because he as a custom handle.You are really good to make and explain the information and you have all the tools to do it.You will need an Andy Roddick model pure drive plus because he plays with an extended version or a pure drive tour plus 4 1/2 grip it's the same and stock replacement grip and blue xl tourna grip and 2 pieces of half inch lead tape on each side from the 6th cross to 16th cross.Strings are Babolat gut 16 on crosses and Babolat blast 17 mains at 58 pounds and could you do after the specs.His specs are 343 grams and 5 points or 327 mm head light and a rubber band for dampner.Has usual the closer you get will do just fine.Thanks great job on all your video's.

    I felt the same when I got one. It didn't feel good. It felt like a 2x12 board. I started playing with it again, now I really like it. 5 months later. Grip and strings are key. It was almost silent to make it worse.

    Got a question! I’m a 3.5 player and I play pretty recreationally the last 5-6 years, I currently use a RF97 autograph (it was a gift) I definitely want something lighter and more forgiving and I was thinking of the Wilson clash. Any thoughts? Thank you! -learning the ropes tennis player

    Yes, the Clash is a fairly nice weapon from all parts of the court. Pretty easy on the arm, and provides good pop and control. If you want one, I recommend getting it soon because the prices are crazy rising right now. A RF97 went from $250 to $280!

  • @a2casius

    @a2casius

    2 жыл бұрын

    Before you buy another racquet, try reducing the balance of the RF97 more towards the handle to help with the manoeuvrability (place some blutack inside the buttcap). To help with the forgiveness, you could play with a softer string at lower tension. These changes won't cost much and could change your mind about the RF97 and ultimately save you a tonne of money.

    No this is wrong. You guys should all get the Wilson RF97. You should imitate the best player of all time Roger Federer by using the racquet that has the exact same specs as Federer's real racquet. If you start using this racquet as young as possible to develop the same Federer strokes. The racquet is also perfect for beginners or even those of you who are about 2.5, 3.0 who still hit with arm strength instead of using your whole body. This racquet also will be a big help for those of you who have tennis elbow.

    I do not understand the logic behind the design of these frames. The only people using those should be 70+, never played before, and swing slower than molasses. That demographic needs an arm friendly racket the most, yet those are super light + stiff and bad for your arm. I think that rackets like this, and specifically babolat pure drive and aero are the worst for the weekend warrior. Your true weekend warrior (16-65y.o.) should play with whatever racket they like in the 98-100 sq in racket category that is at or below 66 RA stiffness. If you’re over 65 and are looking for a racket that will help you more, go Wilson Clash 108, Wilson blade 104, or Head Gravity S 104. Never played before or 85+y.o. - Gamma Bubba or Wilson Triad, Imo these frames are the only oversized ones on the market worth a damn.
