really good review of the Kadillac Bar! The information about always having the Kabuki laser cut logo pointing towards where your toes are was super helpful on its own. Unlike many people, I didn't buy one of these due to shoulder problems, but wrist problems. The ability to do movements with the wrists in a neutral position, instead of pronated or supinated, is a huge benefit, and much more natural for the way the human body is put together. Great review, thanks very much!

@@TheKurtlocker Also the middle X benefits the lifter while bench pressing. Since the X is in line with the edge, it provides more surface area against the chest. Mine is in the middle and the blunt edges took some getting used to the first few times I went heavy.

Great review, Kurt! Everything was spot- on. I have had a blemished V1 Kadillac Bar for over a year now. Way better than my Rogue MG-1. I have wrist issues but can use the inner grips for inside grip with this bar due to the angles it provides. Also, I can program bench press more often without it beating up my elbows and shoulders week after week. Finally, this is my go-to bar for upright rows with hands on the middle grips. Keep up the good work!

I was debating between the Kadillac Bar and the Black Widow Training Systems Cambered Swiss Bar and this video sold me. Really glad you brought that one up as I’ve heard awesome things about BWTS. Kabuki quoted me 8 weeks for the bar, but I ended up getting it in a week and a half. I love it! But the first few times I used it, my palms really started hurting during my last sets and reps. The pain has since gone away so I guess it just took some getting used to. It’s my main bar for benching now and I’ve neglected my power bar since I’ve gotten it.

If you want a Kadillac Bar, but with knurled grips, check out Blk Box’s Multi-Grip Bar. Made in Belfast, it’s a no-brainer if you’re in the UK, and even to the US, probably works out the same, or slightly less, price-wise. The finish on the sleeves isn’t quite as nice as Kabuki’s (still zinc coated, standard Olympic, but not as well finished) but actual materials, design, construction, camber, grip angles and performance, are spot on. I have one and it is an absolutely fantastic bar to use (especially if you have any shoulder issues) and a complete bomb-proof beast of a bar. I would say, slightly heavier/stronger build than the Kadillac, with heavier gauge steel used in the end plates of the handle section and no cut-out logo. Though Blk Box quote a weight of 20kg/44lbs, my bar weighs in at 22.3kg. Summing up, I am very choosy about what kit I buy. Performance is the bottom line, always, and I love this bar 👍

I purchased mine because of shoulder mobility. No difference. After waiting 4 months for it to show up, but that’s Kabuki for you, I tried to like it. I did all the movements you did on the infomercial. But I couldn’t do the movements with real weight and it looks like you couldn’t either. It’s a bench bar….but I can manipulate my form for bent over rows, but because of the width of the Kadillac bar, I find myself adjusting every rep till I find the right groove to pull. Save your money. Sometimes when you pay a fortune for something you talk yourself into loving it. Not me.

I primarily use this as a benching and pressing bar. The rest is all extra credit and I really don’t use it for too much outside bench and press with an exception for in my Henny attachment. It does suck when something fails to live up to expectations though.

I wish there were more bars with shorter sleeve length. My space is too tight for a full size bar and I use the fringe sport shorty bar which is the only rackable short bar l could find and honestly most people will never need 16+” of loadable sleeve.

Potentially but I would also posit that you could still use the bar and just do spoto or develop a board to eliminate the increased ROM. That way you can take advantage of the handle research/design and the stability in a bar that has the camber.
