When I load the SGM 2.01 soundfont,all the pianos are not playing,the rhodes plays some notes,it's not till I get further down the patches that patches work correctly.

Question: Where did you find that violin soundfont, the one that says "Strings - 1st violin"

I've been experimenting with a font for expressive string. It all works in Ableton, but the font has all Sustain, Staccato, Tremolo, and Pizzicato. I can switch between them and if I record with a midi file in the stand alone program of Sforzando the changes record in. However while in ableton if I try to record changes anything I switch to is not saved. I could use the stand alone program and export sound files and put them into ableton after recording where the strings switch between the different techniques, but that would take up more time. Do you have any idea on how to get past this? Either way that stand alone feature will come in handy for other things.

Ok I know this is old but every SF that I add sounds the same no matter the instrument. One particular SF I've used before but was having trouble using it in FL because it is a 32 bit SF and I'm on a 64 bit but I know it has great sounds but the sounds coming out of this sforzano are horrible. Is there a setting I need to put it on to make the sounds sound like the actual sound it's supposed to be? I was really hoping this was going to be my SoundFont Savior... Thanks

Hi Sound Pixel! Thanks for the tutorial. I've gotten as far as this tutorial has shown, and I can make sounds IN the sforzando plugin editor, but when I try and open the piano roll for this channel, I don't get any sounds. What's the next step to using sforzando to actually writing music in FL Studio? Thanks for the help!!

As for best soundfont player. So far I'm gonna have to side with the DSK SF2 V2 player from DSK free VST's. It allows for a lot of control over the sounds...Which i also have a link to on my channel.

I tried to import a sf2 file into sforzando and some aria file is missing so the sound doesn't sound. What is the problem? I can play sfz files directories without any problems.

Well that's the one downside to this soundfont player is that you need a separate instance of sforzando for each soundfont you want to have in the project :( thanks for the question!

try to look for the fruity Soundfont player in the 32 bit version and pace it on the sampler spot. also you should save it as a preset just to be sure

unfortunately since the plugin is not native to FL studio it won't support slide notes :( I wish it would! That would have been nice

Because FL studio 64 doesn't have the soundfont player and we need to use another.

U can use FL Studio 20 32 bit and load the Fruity Soundfont player (if u have questions ask me)

Edit: In Pro Tools at least, I had to make at least 1 midi track pointing to an instrument track with sforzando, then it worked. I don't know if that switched something within the plugin or what, but after that all the midi on all instances of the plugin worked.

Not exactly a decent demonstration of this plugin. It didn't even cover the controls and settings.

Many other Daws like Studio One, Bitwig, Ableton Live allow you to select sf2 patches (or instruments as you call them) directly from the browser. Also I'd really recommend FL Studio's soundfont player rather than Sforzando because you will lose note pan and gliding by switching over. I also hate Sforzando for sf2 files because it converts all your soundfonts to a proprietary file type that called .sfz and stores that somewhere else on your computer, using double the storage. Navigating soundfonts with a large number of patches in Sforzando would always make me want to tear my hair out it makes you scroll though these slim popup menus and you can't even audition any patches before selecting one and if you then decide you want to use a different patch you have to open all the menus again. If for some reason you really don't want to use FL's soundfont player you should use Juicysfplugin instead of Sforzando it's a million times better.

@@karlhans6678 Yeah they only released it a year ago, if you aren't using FL Studio 12 for any particular reason you might want to consider upgrading versions (it's free after all). New FL releases install separately so you'd still have FL 12 for any older projects.

Hey! Thanks for asking :) Sforzando actually doesn't support glide notes. I've found that the glide notes only work with native FL Studio VST plugins.

Far from the best. Drum soundfonts clip using sforzando, but not other plugins. Highly recommend somthing else.
