Pretty accurate only thing incorrect is you referred to Sunpower as a manufacturer they haven’t been for I think over a year now Sunpower split into two companies. Maxeon is the manufacturer of their panels. I love the video though and the structure. Great info.👍🏾🖖🏾

What is your option about Leapton panels?

Have you looked into vertical solar panels as used for fencing? There is an awesome video showing the bell curves for east west and south walls of the fence. Morning mid-day and evening. Plus, bi-panels could be used on the east and west. Vertical collect less dust and are cooler than rooftop. Plus, access for maintenance is less expensive due to height. What are your thoughts? I have a farm, and I am considering this concept. Would you go string inverter for a fencing solar system over micro inverters? Thanks for your assistance and input. Martin

I have not looked into that but I should. My father in law has 40 acres and he doesn't want them on his roof. Yes, I would go with a string inverter, especially if you'll use panels that are over 400w. Micro inverters can't handle over that (yet) so you'll experience clipping with those.

This is completely incorrect. The IQ8s pair with 440W with minimal to no clipping. I'd never recommend string inverters especially on a fence. I am curious about these vertical panels. It looks like they're designed right now specifically for farmers, sounds like it'd be a good investment

Joe Ordia on the channel Solar Surge interviewed Good Faith Energy, out of Texas and they specialize in the Solar Roof Tiles from Tesla. From what I think I know, if they are done right, with a superior install team (since the install is super technical), that knows what they are doing, it can be a nice option. But in the present day, going with a solar roof, one isn't doing it for savings. Rather more for peace of mind in an off-grid situation and to go green. Meaning it's not cheap, as you will see in that video.

How do you buy these panels? I need four and will install on rolling carts. I can't find any place to place an order. Thanks!

Some panels, like the ones from Panasonic, you can buy from resellers. Sunpower panels are only available if you purchase a complete system.

Not impressed with your arbitrary listings. REC basically made the list twice since Panasonic rebadges.

Just because a panel has more Output doesn't mean it is better, it just means it is bigger. REC plays that game.

Why no inclusion of bifacial panels on the list?

Tnak you PRC❤ that a people like us belong to a underdeveloped country are able to use 700watts panel in a cheap price 😂

The biggest problem with all these systems is the middleman! There so many middleman that the price is insanely high vs doing it yourself. If you are replacing your roof then just get Tesla shingles solar, it's crazy efficient

I work for an installation company and had a homeowner who ordered the Tesla shingles almost 2 years before his call to me reached out. There were many issues with him even receiving the shingles. Tesla told him they did not have certified installers and gave them a list of 200 installation companies to call around and see who can do it. Unfortunately, we could not help him. How do you offer a product that you can’t install? That’s wild.
