Excellent J-frame holster. I mostly carry my 442 in a Safariland 25 pocket holster, but when I do carry it appendix the Icon 2.0 is top-notch.

Looks good. It appears to incorporate the features I like about the Phlster holster while keeping the holster small. I like the Phlster but it is a little bulky… would be interesting to see them side by side.

Make a holster for the smith and Wesson 327 snubby performance center please
These are probably ok if you like plastic but I prefer Azula leather holsters for my K frames pistols!
I just got the Icon2.0 for my Taurus 856UL. I have not found that the wing has any big difference with my body size and shape, 150lbs, it did make the holster harder to take off. The holster does what it needs to do, like the clip but honestly I don’t feel that for $100 it is all that. I’m not returning it because it does work well and I already own it, but I’m certain that I could have been just as pleased with a $50 holster.

If the wing isn’t doing anything for you, try adjusting the ride heigh of the clip to be more in line with the wing.
Wish they made one for the Ruger Sp101

Have you tried the hamre forge clip grip boot grip? It’s amazing too. But obviously not good for sweaty days so a holster helps.

@@justified_edc I simply think they are uncomfortable, I have worn and returned them all. For deep concealment I use Smart Carry holsters as well.
Snubbies excel in close-range situations. They are the best tool to get you out of, shall we say, entanglements.

I can hit a 2x2 metal target at 115 yards with my LCR .327 FM 4/6 average. Snubbies only have 1 limitation and it is not the gun.
@justified_edc
Жыл бұрын
@@jeffsnider7842 the biggest limitation for distance shooting on snubbies is the sights. The ditch sight and fixed front post on a lot of them aren’t the most precise sight picture but if you can get a new one with the pinned front sight and can put a dot up front, it helps quite a bit.
@wolverinegnr

Let’s be honest most situations where I would feel the need to ever draw my gun is most likely going to be up close. Long distance shooting is very rare and opens you up to legal issues

That’s a Neomag RASC, there’s a link for it in the description 👍🏼
Thanks for making this video. I have the Icon original and it is perfect except it does kick the grip out a bit causing more printing. I am thinking hard on buying the new version. I am only hesitant because the new model does not accommodate my j-frame's crimson trace laser grip. I also have a P32 and with the 10rd mag, it would win over the J-frame but like you said, nobody makes a quality holster for it. Now if you could get Harry's to make something for the P32, you would have the ultimate EDC.
@justified_edc
Жыл бұрын
Yeah I can understand not wanting to give up your laser if that’s what you’re used to. I’ve never run laser grips on my j frames so it wasn’t an issue for me. And yeah I agree that I wish more companies made quality, well thought out holsters for small guns like that. I have a beretta tomcat in 32 that I’d love to carry more as a backup but nobody makes a decent holster for it so it just ends up getting thrown in my jacket pocket if I ever carry it. If anyone could tackle the job of making a good pocket-pistol holster, it would be Harry’s though.

@@justified_edc Only those copper JHP expand in that lower speed of a snub nose if the bullet is hitting at 45 degree angle. Most ballistic gel tests on youtube are tested if the bullet is hitting from the most optimal angle. In real world this perfect agle doesn t exist.

@@DonDeMarcoKarlsruhe all I know is Federal Punch 38 has been tested quite a bit by myself and others and does very well for what it is. I’m not really interested in carrying ammo that’s new on the market without much of a track record. Reliably feeding in my personal gun is the most important thing to me for carry ammo.
