Good info. I'm currently on an insulation obsession. Thanks for the tips and tricks. I'm going to find a way to insulate the walls and roof too. I already put R-30 pink fiberglass under the floor. I hope to be cozy all winter. Thanks again.

You are welcome. We lived in our 5th wheel for 2 1/2 years, 3 winters. Learned a lot from KZread but never saw any skirting like we did it and wanted to share and help others.

What is the name of the insulating boarding you used? Also, what is name of the guy who has the rv in Alaska? Please and thank you.

Hi. I apologize. I was just learning KZread. I can't remember the name, we got it at Lowes. It was the thickest they had.

What did you use for the water line and heat tape? The tv we are getting has the artic pkg so under the rv has insulation. Also covered underside of rv

I am so sorry I didn't see your questions til now. We lived there 2 1/2 years, 3 winters. Our RV had the Artic Pack also but I'll Sat, the 1st winter we did not have the skirting and I had to wear house shoes but with the skirting, it stayed toasty. I ordered the 80' hose and a 100' heating cord that I wrapped around the hose. The insulation I wrapped around and taped was not fiberglass then finished it off with the two pipe foams as see with more gorilla tape. Again, sorry I didn't get to you question. We no longer live in it but did love it.

Hello. Why place the heater below the RV. Isn’t the skirting enough to keep things from freezing? Or are you just wanting the extra piece of mind?

I so apologize for the LONG delay. Was just learning KZread. Extra piece of mind is why we put the heater underneath. We lived in our 5th wheel 2 1/2 years, 3 winters. The 1st winter without the skirting we could see a huge difference.
