Thank God someone understands me. your complaints are my complaints. I must have returned over a dozen shower heads for the same reasons you mentioned. So much junk shower heads in the major stores these days. I had a great Speakman that I had for years! Worked like a beauty! It clogged up, I cleaned it out, but it kept clogging up so I tossed it. Wished I would've held on to it & tried to figure another way to keep it from clogging. It's gone forever. So your video gives me hope. I'm looking into another Speakman Classic, but now that I've watched your video, I'm definitely going to check out this shower head as well! Thank you for sharing this video!

@lainey I have 7 shower heads now lol been on a buying kick the past 2 months (have a duel shower system) Some are really unique and I'll switch the handheld for different situations.. for example, I have one that you can put soap, essential oils or basically whatever you want in the middle. There's a compartment that opens up. And with high pressure it'll give you a cool effect or really clean you lol.. I just got a Speakman Neo 3010 ( now it's going to be my new everyday handheld ) they are great! Even removed the restrictor but don't think I really needed too how amazing they are. Before all this LOL I did learn a few things for example I have three shower filters 1 is directly on the shower arm before my diverter, the other is an inline that goes horizontally and (THIS IS NEW TO ME AND AMAZING) I found a Korean filter (they tend to come from Korea, I think they originally started there and only one or two companies have caught on over here) ... they are in line filters (that you put from your hose to your handheld, you could also put it from your shower arm to your fixed) it's a vitamin C filter with a bunch of extra stuff but AND THIS IS WHY I HAVE 3 LOL..they come in different fragrances, they also have unscented but that's no fun and I have the two others for that lol) I already have a stockpile of them that I switch up from strawberry, peach, lemon, lavender and mango there are a few more scents I'd like to try. They also have a sediment filter in them too. I'm actually trying to figure out how to hack / open (one) up to see if I could refill it with my own salt and essential oil + Vitamin C powder anyway, sorry that I started to rant . I get very excited LOL and I liked to share the information with others so they could enjoy, as well! But after putting the filter and replacing it regularly and soaking my shower head in vinegar... etc my shower heads do not clog up anymore (I think you might have figured out that i have pretty crappy water 🤣 and I'm not "allowed" to install a water softening system) I wonder if this will help you, you could also put one in your .. attach it to the pipe going to your shower, like how they have water softener cartridges or those 3 under the sink RO systems (reverse osmosis) I wish I could do that but that has helped a friend of mine as well. I hope that that will help you, if you'd like to know where to get those aromatherapy filters if interested (I actually returned three that I wasn't too thrilled about and do not purchase them on eBay they charge you an arm and a leg and on top of that shipping and handling just about the same amount as the thing) just reply and I'll post the names etc. I found a mini one on Amazon for $9.90 (only have lemon, lavender and unscented) and of course free shipping! The most I've paid ( and that was because I really really wanted to get the strawberry and mango LOL) was $19.99. I checked out every single site and of course eBay where they're selling them for average 2999 up to$ 39.99 with the $39 shipping and handling on top of it absolute insanity! I actually found the site from Korea where they actually sell one that you can open up LOL I'm assuming that that's where many source them from.. of course you're not guaranteed that you're going to get it it can get stuck in customs but there around $6 to $10.. and that's not buying them wholesale! Every scent you can think of! I've actually been playing with the idea of maybe going into a little side business LOL with them. I am a reseller but I only purchase things that I really love and I'm excited about but I'm really service to source from there and put a bunch of money into it and not received the merchandise. You gotta take the water restrictor out! The black mesh parts in your thumbnail. Take it out. And whatever’s there behind it. Then put the black rubber in and screw the head back on Try it More water

My shower in my apartment came with this one. I actually got another eco white one in a energy saving kit I got in the mail. The other day I installed a Waterdance handheld shower so I can fil up my portable washing machine and spray my shower walls down.

If I had a penny for every time I was asked in my lifetime (I now TRAVEL WITH MY OWN HAND HELD HA) I'd be a wealthy woman. I have very thick and Longgg hair.. now to my mid- behind. And LOL(I'm laughing writing this getting nostalgic) as a young teen I started checking my friend's (if I stayed the night) shower and water pressure before I got in to shower and wash my hair. Nothing like soaping up your hair and spending minimum up the 10 minutes trying to get the soap out! Then on top of it.. conditioner. So, bad water pressure.. didn't wash my hair or went over with it for and straightened lol. Thank you for the laugh and reminding me of those times lol I didn't go through all your comments but has anyone said anything about what your son said in the background how funny 😁🤣🤭

@@ftumi the new shower head I did not remove anything from it. The old crappy one I did and it didn't help. Those my quest for a better shower head, which I have 2 now. They work perfectly.

i totally get ya man ive been so angry for a while now that most of my friends believe im ccrraazzy but the shower is supposed to be a refreshing start yourday end your day relaxing experience and i tell ya after continual disturbing experiences between no hot no cold no pressure breaking pressure i now do not let any one in my shower and i will not listen to most .very happy to have watched this and so happy fir you to be able to enjoy a shower AGAIN

The original waterpik is pretty powerful too.

I just moved into an apartment and the shower head isn't anywhere near as good as the one at my parent's. Never thought id be looking at buying a shower head, but I think you might have sold me on this. I know nothing about testing water pressure, but it sounds like this is a great fix no matter what. That stream looked insane

Hey, Preston Towne glad my video helped you out. Just so you know I moved and took my shower head with me and still to this day, I get the best shower I've ever had. I will never leave this thing no matter where I live. The message might sting if you use it full throttle, so to speak. But you can adjust it to how strong you want it just by turning it to adjust the flow. If you go to there website they have many styles, you can get all nickle brushed, or shiny, or mine with the black around it. But like I said in the video mine was the cheapest one if you want no black around it then it will go up in price. I'm guessing if I remember correctly it was like 50 bucks. Then you can go from there all the way to 130.00 bucks. I went with the 38.00 bucks because I was sceptical and nervous on spending 38.00 bucks on something I wasn't sure about. But I can say now with out a doubt, best 38.00 bucks I ever spent on a shower head and I would pay more if I had to. If this one ever stops working for some reason I will buy another one without hesitation. Hope this helps you. I'm confident if you get one you won't be disappointed.

Hi @ Preston.. I've recently purchased many shower heads LOL and I'm wondering if you had an experience with one of those high pressure , laser drilled (holes) shower heads? There's a lot on Amazon. Because, boy oh boy, one of them that was only 1.8 GPM stung horribly... I live in Florida, and I think it was Thanksgiving, I was taking a shower my window was open my bathrooms in my bedroom that door was open and I was freezing under a hot shower! And that's when I realized and really experienced the difference between gpm vs. high pressure low gpm.. it's basically water .. you know when you turn a hose on and you could put your thumb on the opening and you could have a stronger direct spray..same concept. Didn't change the GPM of the Garden hose but you changed the surface area.. that's what they do with those tiny drilled holes. So, now, not only do you get stung by the water LOL if it's cold.. put the heat on ( high pressure won't make a difference felt all the cold air. At first I thought I had used all the hot water! ) .. I tried another one that had an interchangeable faceplate. Where you could change the metal one out for a fully silicone one.. helped a bunch(not getting stung) but still COLD LOL.. the shower head here doesn't incorporate that metal plate with those finally drilled holes. So, you won't get that burning or stinging if it's the one that I experienced with the high pressure. Even if it is a high pressure shower hose the construction of it is different that it will not. Right now I have to high pressure and high water output LOL and it's wonderful! And when you're looking at shower heads, if you choose not to go with this particular shower head.. know that the stone steam is bologna or.. they just marketed it very well and put their name on it I got the same one for 699 free shipping on Amazon LOL

So, it's basically a shut off valve (I'm re-reading the description) BUT... it has the extra feature of also controlling the flow (output) (not like adding a water restrictor, which, I personally believe defeats the purpose of this awesome shower head😁)

Remove the aerator or flow restrictor and drill out the hole bigger

I did all that except drill a larger hole. If I have to start redesigning and engineering stuff to make it better, I would rather just find something better and buy it. This is what I did after removing the restrictor. But thanks for the information, maybe it might help someone else. If not then I recommend this new shower head still to this day. It is mostly plastic with some metal components. Still an awesome shower head to this day. I have 2 now for both showers in my house.

In 5 years have you cleaned the head with vinegar to get rid of calcium building?

Mitch Robins no I do not. If that is important to you then I would go to there website, you can find that out. But for me I don't care if it is a gallon or 2 more. The shower I get now, nothing compares. It's worth every drop.

@@LorenandBridget GPM may not matter to you, but of course it effects how much water passes through the showerhead and how it feels to take a shower. Perhaps GPM is the only difference and any other brand with a higher GPM would feel just as good; better than the former model you had installed.

I bought a little $10 head took out the restrictor and voila... I understand if you want one with the different settings, you could have just taken the restrictor out the old one give it a good vinegar or CLR cleaning... And trust me you good... Sorry i was late bro!

@Justin that rubber gasket/ o- ring creates a seal using the water . "Water tight seal" they are meant to stop leaking to create a seal .. if it works why add (more) Teflon tape? I personally checked my shower head, hose etc prior to doing that.

If your talking about the new shower head, I don't know. I also don't really care what it is. The only thing that I wanted was a good strong flowing showing that felt satisfying when I take a shower and this shower head still does that today. I even bought a second one for the 2nd bathroom.

@@LorenandBridget I think the gpm rating is important to a lot of people who have small water heaters and want the hot water to last for a long shower, while at the same time not having the wimpy spray that your previous Niagara head has.

All you gotta do is remove the governor that is in the shower head. Plus, hard water plugged up your shower head with calcium and mineral deposits.. dip that mother fuckin' shower head in some vinegar in a day...
