Vladimir Riché hey Vlad, unlike you I am a Chelsea boots kind of guy...so I wear them all year around. They are my to go footwear. In summer time I also wear leather sneakers...FYI just got a pair of a certain brand from a certain Mediterranean island from their super customization sale weekend....oh man...they are gorgeous... thank YOU for introducing me to that brand. Go Vladimir go!

I'm almost exclusively a dress boot guy. I'd rather get a balmoral boot over the traditional oxfords for example. Recently, I've been very intrigued about getting my first sneakers that wasn't for excercise. Never bought them and I've worn dress shoes/boots almost exclusively for 3 years.

Vald, welcome back, you were missed. I know bro, the world is out of control. I agree with you about loafers for the same reasons. I have wide flat feet and I will never wear a loafer with with a low or short vamp. I own one pair of quality loafers I brought from Paul Evans. It's a great designed and well-constructed shoe. It's medium brown. One pair of loafers is enough for me.

Great to hear from you again. Totally agree that a loafer vamp should be longer. I’ve worn loafers for a long time but I am picky about them. I’ve been looking at a brown suede Carmina and am scouting the sale page every day. Welcome to the world of loafers - I feel like the style is elegant, relaxed confidence. A great loafer just telegraphs confidence and refinement, in a way that other shoes cannot. Especially in suede.

@DrZaius. Until last Summer, in Australia, I disliked low vamp loafers, but I bought a pair to keep up with the "No socks" look that is popular for the beach (Which is about three quarters of the suburbs here) and have grown to like them, because they compliment the slim look outfits that I bought last summer. My first pair of "serious" shoes were a pair of J.M Weston 180 loafers back in 1993. Got another pair in 2015 and I still love them. Never had a pair of tassel nor string ones. During the summer I hardly ever wear suits or sport coats to be honest. I dress casually. Chinos and leather sneakers. I have a pair from Frank & Oak white leather sneakers. Love them but they are a pain in the butt to keep clean. Keep the videos coming, we have missed you

Brother, much love from Miami Beach, and thanks for taking the time to make a new video - I know you’ve been wanting to get back to it, but I can see in your eyes/overall demeanor how things have understandably affected you; it’s OK, bro, we all taking the steps to get to peaceful places and making the video is one of the ways to do it, good for you and wishing the best for you and fam… ALSO - want to let you know that you’re indeed being a great influencer - you should let these companies/brands know that YOU’re the reason a brother has ordered 1) two pairs of Carminas (which are taking their sweet time to get to me), 2 )THREE pairs of Carlos Santos from Kostas at The Noble Shoe, 3) a pair of Berwick double-strap monks from A Fine Pair of Shoes, 4) a pair of Meermins, and 5) whole cut oxfords from Thomas Bird (you never mentioned that company, but your vid on whole cut oxfords got me there)…all in all, Brother Vladimir has revamped by shoe wardrobe (and some ladies already appreciate your assistance!) Quick note on this recent video - I was always a non-loafers/non-boots person too, but last year was gifted some nice chocolate suede, split-toe Ferragamos, and they changed my mind! I think even if you’re 99% against a type of shoe, you can see an individual style that really works for you (it happened again as one of my new Carlos Santos are chukka boots, and I love ‘em). Anyway, thanks again and I’ll be sending more and more brothers to the channel to subscribe - take care and be well!

Finally !! I think you won’t regret getting into loafers. It’s too bad you’re not into penny loafers tho, because they happen to be the most versatile. I used not to like it too, but I eventually changed my taste, and now I’m very happy to have both penny and tassel loafers. I’m even seriously thinking about getting another pair of black TL, to wear with formal suits, because I’m less and less into oxfords, but I’m letting myself time (a year maybe?) to meditate on this... enjoy your loafers ! 😁

I love loafers, the penny/plain loafers have that sleek profile and bit loafers have this luxurious look to them, though it is too easy to look tacky in them. Longer vamps definitely are the way to go IMO, and whilst leather soles definitely are classier, the rubber soles can make loafers feel almost as comfy as running shoes. Plus you can wear them during the wet season too without worrying about the soles! The tassel/string loafers actually seem too stylish for me, but I'm willing to give them a shot. The ones you got are very stylish and cool! - Han

Good to see you posting more again Vlad. We are both new to loafers. I prefer a derby or brogue, but I recently purchased a pair of Meermin Unlined Dark Brown Soft Calf Penny Loafers for $195 USD. Really nice shoe, and works perfectly for my more casual style, but can also be dressed up. Also, while you were gone, made me purchase my first really nice tie from Granqvist in Sweden. 50/50 wool silk Burgundy/Navy Grenadine Fina. Really nice for the price. Even though I don't wear these things very often, always nice to invest in higher quality items that will last you years or decades. I’m big fan of loafers for years wear them foe years . Usually size on them is half down . I wear 9 uk so loafers would be 8,5 uk . Vlad,we're rocking in the same boat! I wear the same size and my feet are also flat and narrow with narrow heels to boot! I've tried wearing loafers when I was much younger and didn't really know very much at all about shoes and how they should correctly fit my feet. I always had problems with not only the sides gaping, but I would literally walk out of the shoe. I finally gave up wanting to wear loafers years ago. In recent years I've had two pair that I had success with and both had a really long vamp and actually stay on my foot. Like you I would wear them probably in the warmer months with light weight suits ect. and only with a sport coat and flannels in the fall and winter. I absolutely love that shoe! Especially the color, and I've actually looked at it in the past only to decide that I shouldn't pull the trigger because the vamp just doesn't look long enough and I'm afraid that if I purchased it I'd be disappointed with the fit. Like you I've also considered going down a 1/2 size, but I'm afraid then the shoe may be too short ending up with my toes actually touching the inside front of the shoe! I would love to own that shoe...it's very elegant! I may look at it again and give T&L a buzz, but from experience I just don't think they'll work for me. I've thought about going bespoke but for a pair of loafers... I just can't justify spending $1,500-2,000 on a pair of loafers...anyway "Boss" good to see you and I hope everything is going well with you and yours and stay safe...this 😷 ain't over!!✌🏾️💜✊🏾

I am into loafers, big time. I wear them in spring, summer, and fall. Never in the Wisconsin winter! I prefer my loafers Blake stitched as that makes them a bit sleeker. I like Belgian loafers the best. The vamp on the Belgians will probably not be to your liking though. Just as a reference I have more than 20 pairs in various styles; rope, tassel, penny...you name it. Great shoes to travel in. Oh, one more item. I don't have driving mocs/loafers. I do not like the bumpy soles, although very comfortable, they are not made for every day walking. (Generally speaking, they wear out quickly) Plus I am not yet sophisticated enough to have shoes just for driving. Vlad, the reason why you don't have loafers and boots is because at heart you are a Suit Man. Until recently I used to get teased for wearing a suit 24/7 with the occasional wearing of a sports jacket for appropriate weekend sport events. But with a lot of time on my hands for the last year I started to "Self Medicate" via "Retail Therapy". Well that lead to finding suitable shoes ---- namely 4 new loafers and 4 new boots. A great cure for the dread of loafers and boots, to match the 4 new sports jackets Lol. Phil.

What’s up, Igbo? A shoe care video is definitely coming. As far as brands, I highly recommend Saphir products.

Hey Vladimir welcome back. The loafers are beautiful. I'm in NYC is there a walk-in store where I can purchase a pair?

What’s up, Ahmed? Löf & Tung is only available online but Carmina makes some really nice ones too. They’re on 45e E. 45th in Midtown.

I have two pair of loafers, they do become really comfortable so they will grow on you. I rarely une them with my suits though.

I can see me liking them very much! I really like the way that tassel loafers look with flannel suits although I plan on using them more with SC's and odd trousers.

@@v_r_ would love to see how you break up suits/SC & odd trousers, it's the look I'm going for and there is a lot of choice which can make it difficult at times

What’s up, Michel? I’m no expert on loafers but I think they’re nice too. What style do you have?

@@v_r_ I have Shell Cordovan Allen Edmonds tassell loafers, black suede penny loafers and a black pair of AE tassell loafers that i bought on EBay for 25$ and that I refurbished... they end up pretty good. I have a pair of brown Hugo Boss penny loafers but I dont wear them a lot because they are a tad to small. ..Yeah, also a pair of red driving mocs :) I'm doing well here in Montréal....and still love your vids Vladimir. :)
