What’s the best screen protector for the Apple Watch? Out of the two handfuls of screen protectors I’ve used in the last few months, there is only THREE that I’d go with. These products include the Zagg Curve Glass Elite, the FLOLAB NanoArmor or a liquid screen protector.

SYOSIN/JetTech Glass - 00:01:40
Pros:
-None
Cons:
-Not good quality glass
If the product looks like a square piece of glass with no rounded edges stay away from it. Cheap glass, poor adhesive and generally, just a bad idea.
LK/JetTech (TPU film) - 00:02:03
Pros:
-Multiple screen protector per pack
Cons:
-Cheapens the look of your Apple Watch
-Comes off easily
-May not work with cases
LK/JetTech (TPU film) were a good idea when we first reviewed screen protectors for the Apple Watch Series 4. That’s how slim the pickings were.
JecoDirect and InSkin - 00:03:12
Pros:
-Won’t chip
Cons:
-Might not be glass
-Annoying bubbling
-”White haze”
-Black bezel
We found JecoDirect on Amazon, we found InSkin on Bestbuy.com and we’re pretty sure they are the same product. These protectors are marketed as glass but you can cut them with scissors…
WHY APPLE WATCH SCREEN PROTECTORS SUCK - 00:04:51
Uolo Shield 3D Glass - 00:06:19
Pros:
-Actual glass
Cons:
-Mild sensitivity issues
-Bubbling issues
We were given two samples and could not install them so that bubbling wasn’t an issue. The bad thing about bubbling is that the more you take the screen protector off, the higher the chance that you’ll bend the glass which results in more bubbling.
To solve this problem, you need more adhesive but that just results in more sensitivity issues which the Uolo Shield 3D was already prone to.
WhiteStone Dome Glass - 00:07:08
Pros:
-Neat install process
-Watch face looks good
Cons:
-Thin
-Expensive
-Can’t fix bubbling easily
-Adhesive smells and lingers
Whitestone easily has the most complicated install process for any screen protector. When we bought WhiteStone Dome Glass of Amazon, we were expecting it to be the product that we can recommend because it’s 60 dollars and the installation process should result in a perfect install.
Well, after the first install, we ended up with bubble along the edge of the glass and after two days, the screen protector broke.
Tech Armor 3D Curved Edge Glass - 00:09:02
Pros:
-No major sensitivity issues
Cons:
-Comes off easily
The Tech Armor 3D Curved Edge Glass was one of the last products we tested and it was going well until we bumped the corner of our wall and the product came flying off. At least it sounded like glass when it fell.
Liquid Screen Protector - 00:10:18
Pros:
-No additional bulk
-Can apply it to multiple devices
Cons:
-Damage to the Apple Watch is permanent
We’ve covered liquid screen protectors quite a bit on this channel and we’re not big fans of them. The sole reason for our lack of enthusiasm comes from the fact that any damage that occurs to your device that’s covered in a liquid screen protector is permanent. There’s no way for you to remove it and put on a new one like you would with a normal screen protector.
Zagg Invisible Shield - 00:11:25
Pros:
-Actual glass
-Good fit
Cons:
-Mild sensitivity issues
-Minor Bubbling issues
-Expensive
The Zagg Curve glass elite is made from actual glass and is quite thick. Zagg includes an install frame to help with the installation but that’s all the frame does. Unlike the FLOLAB one.
Sensitivity of the screen seems to come and go with the Zagg. Sometimes there are no issues at all while other times, it takes a couple of taps to do whatever you’re trying to do.
FLOLAB NanoArmor - 00:14:14
Pros:
-Good fit
-Easy to fix bubbling
-Fits our favourite cases
Cons:
-Mild sensitivity issues
Flolab’s Apple Watch screen protector is by far the thickest one that I’ve used in this list which means it’s going to offer your Apple Watch with the most protection BUT that also means that it has a few more sensitivity issues.
Installation of the product is a little more involved as you have to take your Apple Watch straps off before placing it in the over-sized install frame. The larger frame definitely takes the guess work out of installing the screen protector.
But at the end of the day, for $20 bucks, you can get a good screen protector that installs well and will offer your Apple Watch the most protection without going with a fully covered case.

What's your thoughts on the RhinoShield Bumper Case vs Spigen Rugged Armor Case, and which screen protector seems to work better with either case? I just bought the Apple Watch 5 in 40 mm; I'm an "arm swinger" when I walk & I'd like to have the double protection against bumps & possible scrapes/scratches to the face. thanks!

I'm loving your reviews! Thanks for thorough and real trial runs. I bought one of the Apple Watch screen protectors with my first Apple Watch and never put it on my watch. The install was so complicated and wanted me to wet the whole thing - ack! I'm not terribly rough with my devices and use screen protectors mostly to avoid scratches. So, after watching your Apple Watch reviews, I decided I'll go naked.

You can tell how long it took to finish this video. I filmed this before Monty got his haircut over a month ago. He's much cleaner looking right now.
I actually really love the l/k screen protector. It works well with the Ancowzoz case for the watch. I’ve had my watch for a month, and I just had to change my first screen protector out of the 6 pack due to a ding it took while at work. But no physical damage to the screen!

The LK works GREAT with the Supcase cuz it keeps the edges of the screen protector covered. Haven’t had an issue for almost a year now.
I studied your old video so much and decided to go with the otter box case. Screen protectors on Iwatch just can’t be done. GREAT VIDEO AS ALWAYS

I just installed the glass fusion 360 (ZAGG) on my Apple Watch and i have 0 bubbles and it fit perfect! I also used a pair of latex gloves so i made sure i had no dust at all . It looks great and i cant even tell i have a protector on my watch. 100% recommended!! (Make sure you register the protector on there website so its fully warranted)

I've just installed the L-K protector - very clear, with no black edge or hazing. Comes in an excellent kit, with six protectors, along with the necessary tools. So even if it starts to lift in a while, I can just swap it out without any additional expense.

LK film screen protector is the best one IMO. It works great with cases, and once applied it’s like it’s not even on the watch.
for anyone thats still interested I'm using a film protector because the only thing I want to protect my watch against is scratches because I couldn't afford the stainless steel variant with the sapphire glass and it was the best thing i bought! Its almost invisible, all the scratches on the plastic disappear daily and it doesn't reduce the feel sensitivity or brightness of the watch

I use liquid screen protectors on all of my electronics and I’m getting an Apple Watch soon and I’m going to get one because even though they scratch, it’s better than breaking my screen. And my phone has held up well with my liquid glass screen protector.

It sucks that there aren't any good apple watch screen protectors anywhere. I'm so scared of scratching the screen but I guess it's just inevitable. I stumbled across this video after looking through Amazon. The reviews of the screen protectors are good on the surface but when I looked through the most recent ones, many people would say that it would not stay on for a day or so, or there are some sensitivity issues. I'm glad that you share the same frustrations as I do.

The best combination I’ve found, one of those clear film rubber things and the rhino shield case. The rhinoshield case makes them not peel up.

I’ve used the armorsuit military shield with pretty good results. I’ve been interested in the rhino shield product, I was disappointed to hear you can’t use the 2 products together. I think I’d prefer to use the rhino shield by itself and hope the door frames stop jumping out in front of me!

Did you try the zagg plastic flimsy screen protector? I’ve had so much luck with that one, had it on my watch for years with a rhino shield case and love it!!!!

I use the LK screen protector on my series 5 and they work fine. You can’t tell there is a screen protector on and they usually last 3 months before I change it out.

That’s odd about the LK screen protector! I’ve had mine on my Apple Watch series 5 for 2 weeks and it seems to be working just fine. Hasn’t lifted but I also put my watch in a unicorn beetle protective watch band as well! I use the unicorn beetle case when I’m at work and I am a electrician which means I’m working at a construction site, but the weekends I have it out of the case and i rock it without seems to be holding up!

Not really his conclusion, the flolab does a good job just lowers the sensitivity a bit which is a trade off some will choose.

@@asrio you’re entitled to that opinion, my point was to point out the video didn’t summarize that way. My opinion is for the user who is more prone to accidents or rough workouts the flolab is useful and the trade off on sensitivity isn’t a high price to pay.

Loved your review and followed your recommendation, purchased the Flolab screen protector for my new AW6. Followed your instructions for installing. Installed fine. But glass protector cracked after a week of light use. Disappointed in the product and I can’t recommend it.
I find your Reviews to be very good. I pay attention to the video so it’s a bit redundant to have to read through all the commentary in the description to find what I intend to buy. I honestly don't think there will be a standout product. Glass is too thick/thin, adhesive is too thick, plastic sucks. Who knows.
