The Best Salad You've Ever Eaten in Your Life | Genius Recipes
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This kiwi and feta salad is on another level of deliciousness thanks to a few genius tips from Great British Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain. The fuzzy secret is leaving the skin on the kiwi as it adds a wonderfully crunchy texture to the juiciness of the fruit. This refreshing summer dish can be made ahead of time and retains its crispiness by keeping the dressing at the bottom of the bowl until ready to serve. GET THE RECIPE ►► f52.co/3B339Ge

I luv not peeling kiwifruit. I discovered it about 6 years ago. I run it under water, rubbing gently with a nubbly dish rag, then rubbing with a dry nubbly dish rag. It takes off almost all the hairs. Then I eat them like an apple. Just be careful, because 1 end of the kiwifruit has a very sharp spike inside where it was attached to the tree. The spike end has the "button" looking thing.

So nice to see the lovely Nadiya - wish she did more KZread, she’d be a star on here!
Golden kiwis are incredible!
This is just stupid. Food52 should have had 1.5 mil to 2 mil subscribers by now, easy. Such great content, wonderful presenters, and a perfect, cozy aesthetic. I don't understand why their numbers aren't snowballing yet. Can only hope that they'll keep at it until the public catches on to the amazingness.

I wish I could eat kiwi skins, love the fruit, but the skin blows up my lips and turns them bright red!
Love Nadiya!
Wonderful to see the lovely Nadiyah
I’ll be trying this for sure
Thanks so much for the recipe. It is great to try something new and nutritious and a bit unusual. Love your videos.
Thank you for this. I was a bit unsure but I've tried two other recipes here and loved it. The addition of the kiwi might sound weird but surprisingly all of the ingredients complement each other beautifully. And I love the dressing as well. Truly one of the best salads I've had.
I love Nadiya! Perfect guest for this series!!

I'm allergic to kiwi but I appreciate the salad prep hack! I love having the salad ready to go before guests arrive.

My son is allergic to kiwi. Allergy doc told us that a certain set of fruit allergies that include kiwi are related to a “queen palm allergy.”
This looks amazing and definitely going to make this summer
I just made this salad and it is absolutely delicious! Thank you for sharing this recipe. The first time I ate kiwi, I ate it for months without peeling it and loved it. But everyone seems to like it peeled, and I prepare it that way most of the time now. However, I made the recipe with the skin on and enjoyed it very much.
As a American/kiwi here in nz I think not peeling kiwis is kinda common here, although personally I can't stand it but my mom never peels kiwis ever before eating. however I would recommend eating the skin of organic kiwis only. Good looking salad though. I might try this with kiwiberries though my favorite type of kiwifruit
Golden Kiwi's are new and I now prefer them over the standard kiwi. Love your show and all the Author's recipes featured, Thanks Genius tips!

I do hate peeling, but sometimes it just makes everything more refined and delicious. Like peeling peaches is annoying but the final cobbler or whatever is so much more luxurious. I mostly skip peeling carrots and just scrub them clean in the sink. (edit: also obsessed with Nadiya, love love love)
I made this salad with great reviews. However I did peel the kiwi so the grandchildren would like it. Nadyias recipes are all terrific.
This lots delicious. I’m going to try it out on my next potluck dinner with friends.
I actually never tried to add kiwi in salads! must be delicious! 😍

Like, actual green salads. Because I thought kiwis were welcome in fruit salads.
Carrots and potatoes, of course. Citrus in smoothies without peeling works, too.
I'm definitely trying this combination! I usually tend to use melon pairing feta but never tried kiwi and I love kiwis!

Damn seeing that kiwi in the salad with the skin made my mouth water...😸👍
Oh yum 😋
I love eating kiwi with the skin on!
Wow this host is so good at her job. Im like superinterested and super want to try this salad
I am Italian and I never peel tomatoes before cutting them up to cook in a meal. The skins never bother me and never tough. I usually do not notice the skins. If I come across the skins, they do not bother me.

Tomatoes are commonly "with skin" and are very different than furry kiwi fruit.
If your recipe ever includes the step: “mats down all the hair” you might have a hard sell. ;). FYI I love the skins! That tartness is perfect!

I love them, too. I always keep them on.
I am new to channel. I really love your disposition. Very calming yet affirmative. I'm sorry, I don't know your name. Keep up the good work. You can go anywhere you want to with your vibe. ✌️💜💜💜
You mentioned zucchini is good in a salad and YES it is ! Yellow summer squash is another favorite of mine in a salad !! You also do not peel it !
How about washing the kiwi and kind of scrubbing it on the outside to get rid of the hair and then cutting it up I think for me that would be a better way!
I like to think that when you eat a kiwi skin it's like exfoliating your insides
dressing makes it lay down, " like a pomade" Great, I am a Dapper Dan man
If someone else was having this salad, I would try it. Not something I would commit a whole meal to. I might grab a kiwi and try it whole though.
Omg, your daughter got so big. She’s a cutie. About the kiwi skin, yeah, not for me (tried it, didn’t like it), but I will definitely make this salad! Looks delicious, and I will throw some toasted walnuts in there too. That will be my kiwi skin crunch. 😉
if you have a cheese shop or a Greek bakery/grocer near you, try using sheep feta, its creamier, saltier, and 100% better than cows milk feta. goats good too to try out, but sheep, sheep's milk takes you to another level. also sheep's feta, kale, green onion, olive oil and a splash of acv ^_^
ummm....every French person that I know makes their dressing in the bottom of the bowl before adding the lettuce and then tosses before serving.
Hi Kristin, where did you get the huge salad/ mixing bowl? I would love to purchase- thanks!

I eat alot more kiwi now that I don't have to peel! I cut up small and put on oatmeal!
We peel more than we need too.....
Can you tell me about picking ripe kiwis? Or is it best to grab them hard and let them ripen on the counter?
That looks quite interesting, will definitely try it. However why not to take “naked” kiwi (those that are not fury) 🤗
I hate peeling ginger, it’s the worst, but then like kiwi, l learned I don’t have to peel it before cooking, so all is well!
looks delicious alot of my fav things but what can we sub for feta because...no.

Did you say something about kiwis?
Okay kiw skini girl
a chickpea would be nice too! Peeling a butternut squash is not fun!

Don't peel large squashes or pumpkin, cut into large chunks, then cook until tender, let cool a bit and the flesh can be scooped put, less work, less waste.
Always on fruits that are a bit slimy like Kiwi, you must cut it like an onion one end first then chop it or slides!
Hmmm delicious pesticides...
Growing up we never peeled kiwi. We just sliced it & ate it. We didn't know.
Potatoes carrots parsnips grapes apples plums mushrooms cucumbers peaches nectarines tomatoes
But... What's so difficult about making the dressing in a separate bowl and adding to the "ingredients" before serving?
@Sunshineindarkestofdays
2 жыл бұрын
that's it - trying to avoid a separate bowl and having the salad already prepared in one bowl and salad not wilted because of the dressing
I've never peeled a kiwi in my life.
I wonder who thought of this idea of putting the dressing at the bottom of the bowl first? I watched Ina Garten suggest the exact same thing. No biggie....just wondered...
If you're going to eat kiwi skin I think you can eat cucumber seeds.
Why can't Nadia Hussein make her own salad on the channel? Why does this girl need to make it? I want to hear about it from Nadia...
CARROTS! Why does anyone ever peel a carrot? It makes me crazy.
Love the recipe idea but I have to turn away when you’re chopping. Pls curl you pinky finger in, it looks so close to the blade of the knife 😱
I made this and I have eaten foods and prepared them from every "food genre" this was very different but not delicious at all--it was tolerable

Any more details of why you didn’t like it much? I was thinking of making this.
Doesn't the kiwi react with the cheese? I cannot stand eating fresh kiwi in yoghurt, as it beccomes this awful weird taste in your mouth. Leaving the feta ontop of the kiwi in the fridge over a longer time seems like it won't be a good idea?

Don't peel garlic and ginger!
@Rose-jz6sx

Don't peel garlic?? Ginger sure the skin is v fine but garlic skins are fairly thick
…… Orrrrrr…. Just keep the vinaigrette in the same little jar you made it in and dress the salad when you’re ready. You can control the amount of vinaigrette that way. Leaving it at the bottom of the bowl and putting the salad on top for tossing later is presenting a stupid “life hack” solution to a problem that doesn’t exist.
I don’t like peach skin, so an unpeeled kiwi sounds horrid!
This salad was DISGUSTING! I poured it down the drain! Unfortunately, it was a lot of great ingredients that were wasted☹️
10:47 I'll never get back. Absolutely boring presentation. Uninspiring salad recipe. Weird filming style.
